  1. I got my 2nd compensation check yesterday. Nice surprise since I had no clue a 2nd one was coming!!
  2. I won't turn down the $550 but I will say that even before the updates I had done yesterday, I was getting the EPA rating. My best tank of gas was 52.3 mpg and 611 miles!!
  3. My "Oil Change Required" light came on at 10,250 mi. Going to the dealer tomorrow for the oil change and all the updates!!
  4. Yeah it was a heavy wet snow and going through the slush piles you could hear it hit the underneath side of it but since it was slush it didn't hurt anything. I was really surprised at the traction I had.
  5. I live in Indiana and I got my CMax at the beginning of December. Late December and early January we had a couple of big snows here where they actually closed my place of employment 2 different times. The following day, I went out and got around town without any issues. I used the same tires that came on it. I went through 2' slush piles where the plow trucks didn't plow very well. I can only remember slipping one time. Granted I am not an agressive driver, especially in snow and I was careful at accelerating from a complete stop.
  6. My last 3 tanks of gas have all been over the average 47mpg with the highest being 52 mpg. I got 611 miles on that tank of gas. We have been having an unusually cool summer so I haven't had to run the A/C. I haven't even been to get the update yet because I wanted to see what (if any) problems came from the update. I love my Maxie!!
  7. I have had mine in for a couple of weeks. They are awesome!! Great coverage. Only got the fronts. Rarely is anyone in the back seat.
  8. I have been getting better average MPG the longer I have the car. Temps were in the 40's last week and I did a 24 mi trip and got 49mpg. Can't wait for the warmer weather to see even better mpg's.
  9. You're off to a great start! Yep the mpg bug has hit most of us.
  10. Well first....ice is ice so I don't know that even with added weight it would help much. However, a couple of weeks ago we got some snow that had the roads turning to black ice in a heartbeat. I had to go out to a store to buy a wedding gift for the next day (yep I'm a procrastinator). I was able to do 35 on heavy ice and didn't slip or fishtail once. Glad you made it home safely.
  11. These were not from a local dealership. Cute little commercial with a sketch guy in it. I honestly don't remember what station we were on. We hardly ever watch local channels so my guess is that it was a satellite channel. I'm sure with the negative mpg reports out there that they are going to have to push a little harder and increase the marketing.
  12. What a bummer!! I almost had the same thing happen to me last week. The rock did hit the windshield but luckily it sustained no damage. Here in Indiana, they won't repair a chip if it is on the drivers side. I had to replace the windshield in my last car due to a dump truck dropping huge rocks out of the back of it on the freeway. That car got hit by a grocery cart in the parking lot within the first week I owned it. I parked out at the end of the row and everything. Put a nice little dent just behind the headlight. Talk about being mad..
  13. I use Trip 2 for the gas count and reset it with each tank. It has never lost the EV+. Did you lose your lifetime MPG average as well?
  14. Maybe it is the Indiana market they are marketing to then. I have seen 2 different commercials within the last 2 weeks and have seen them several times. Before then, I really hadn't seen any on the C-Max but saw several on the Fusion.
  15. Hmmm....I was looking for an excuse to go to my Indian restaurant today. Maybe I'll just do that.
