We are replacing a Honda Odyssey with the C-Max and thus giving up a whole lot of cargo capacity, which we used when RVing and recently to haul two recliners in their boxes from Costco (and back), so we're trying to mitigate the impact by buying a cargo carrier for any large items that might pop up from time to time.

I bought this one at Harbor Freight where it is on sale for $75 this month.  It was well reviewed on Amazon, and is well made although it does take awhile to put together.  I like that it is aluminium, and will carry up to 500# although the hitch is not really rated for that much.   I also bought a $10 net that fits over it.

Can't upload the picture due to kb limitations for some reason.  (Is there a daily/weekly/user limit?)  So here's the link: http://www.harborfreight.com/500-lb-capacity-aluminum-cargo-carrier-92655.html

If you're on their email list Harbor Freight currently has a coupon on the Cargo Carrier for $ 74.99...and I am unable to copy, save and/or paste it here.

However, says it is good in stores, online or via phone.  Numbers under barcode are:

52550573-000951007901002

Limit 5 Valid throught 3/31/13

Limit one coupon per customer per day.

I signed up for HF online yesterday, but no ads yet.  I searched the internet just now, and found the coupon you were talking about.  Thanks!

If I drive up to Harbor Freight today, will the box fit in the back of the CMAX?

And yes it fit...   Picked it up yesterday afternoon.  They were sold-out at the local HF, so drove to next nearest store.  My (Energi) battery was depleted about 4 miles into the return home, so I had to switch to hybrid mode.  I've already assembled it.  Now just waiting on Torklift Central to ship my receiver.  This should come in handy.
