Car is in the shop for door locks

Recommended Posts

The car went in the shop yesterday to have some sort of module replaced because the "intellegent access" (keyless) didn't always recognized when you grabbed the handle so the doors didn't always unlock.  The car is still in the shop, because after they installed the new module appearantly they couldn't get it to SYNC with the computer so now the locks don't work at all.  Oh Boy!

I've noticed that happen with mine. I grab the handle and nothing. I do it a couple of times and then it works. I don't want to take mine in yet. I'll wait until it stops completely or something else needs work and then I'll have them fix it at the same time. Remote still works and unlocks the doors.

That's happened a couple of times with me too. I thought that maybe I was pulling the handle too quickly.  A couple of days ago the door opened fine, but as I started to sit down the alarm went off.  Has that happened to anyone else?  Hopefully it was a one time thing.

Supposedly the car is fixed now...  they had to keep it an extra day because they needed to contact Ford because the car wouldn't recognize the new module.  The down side was that we had the TSB installed for the NAV and it still wanders off the road so it will be going back again.
