Carpet in hatch area came up

It has taken a couple years but both pieces of carpet on the bottom of the seat backs came completely off.

Lots of glue on the back of the carpet but the surface it glues to is very smooth.

Maybe a little sandpaper or different type of glue, anyone got a long term solution?

 same here ... carpet on the back of the seat came unglued

 

Me three. Dealer said he couldn't find one of the carpet pads in the car so he removed the other one to match...
