Lift gate not closing properly & minor separation of body panel from headlight

For the past couple of days, I've had to close the rear lift gate a couple of times to verify it's closed. I've checked all latches & cannot find anything that can block it, & from what I can tell everything is lined properly. Any ideas??

Also I noticed yesterday that there's a small gap between the bottom of the right headlight & the body panel where air can get in, as can bugs & weather/dust. Anyone else have this?

SSM 32299 - 2013 C-Max - Power Liftgate Stops During Operation
Some 2013 C-Max vehicles may exhibit a power liftgate that will stop during travel and must be opened or closed manually. This condition may be caused by chafe in the wiring harness between the headliner and roof sheet metal pass through, just forward of the point where the harness enters the flexible convolute to the liftgate. Repair damaged circuits as required following repair procedures in Wiring Diagram, Section 5-1. Use available service labor times.
