Home made dog barrier

I thought I'd share this with the group. I've seen a few of these PVC dog barriers on other forums but this one is really easy to make and is really easy to put in and take out. I used lengths of electrical conduit PVC, a couple of conduit 90 degrees and plumbing T and 45 degree couplings. Some hammerite over the white couplings otherwise left the conduit grey (as I know my dog will be biting these parts. The ends just slot snugly into the gap between the rear seat and the pastic interior, at least on my Energi.

Top pipe is cut to 34"

Bottom pipe is cut to 41.5"

The two ends are cut 5"

There's a small length joining the 45 to the T on each side, but not long enough to show.

It's held in place in the car by a friction fit, so check with a small length of pipe that it will be a snug fit on your car first.

Hero is pretty darned cute.  I love Golden Retrievers.  Our neighbourhood is sort of yuppie like with townhouses, houses, condos, and zillions of kids and Golden Retrievers.  We are always guaranteed a laugh or two on our walks due to the a couple of Golden Retriever pups--all loose of limb, trying to get everyone to play with them.
