I guess that answers the question. It looks nice it is more than strong enough to get the job done.

I was on rhe Tesla site the other day and you can't put a rack with the solid roof. Tesla requires the pano roof. I am guessing that the steel is better reinforced in that configuration.

It's nice to be able to look up and check that we remembered to close the box. ;)

It is nice to think that there is a way to take the Energi on a major expedition like a camping trip with four people and gear.

I bought the aero bar system as a whole unit meaning nothing else to buy except the bike rack, kyak rack or box. If you see ads for a lot cheaper than $400 it's most likely just for the bars and you'll need to buy the other parts.

Has anyone observed (as maybe when removing) whether the Thule mounts scratch, chip or mar the paint?

I've removed and reinstalled the Thule several times with no damage.

No experience with the Thule, but I had a yakima clamped onto my previous car for 13 years (removed only a couple times in that time) and once you wipe off the dirt that accumulates around the feet you can't tell there was a rack there.  You just have to make sure the roof and the feet bottoms are clean before you put it on.

thanks for posting these pics, nice to know there is a way to get additional storage if desired up on the pano roof.  This would be very desirable for Energi owners since you loose cargo space with your taller batter pack.

I would think that the trailer hitch option would be limited in weight bearing capacity due to the extra battery weight in the Energi as well, so the roof rack may be the best option.

Can anyone comment on the noise level with the aeroblades installed? I guess Thule says no fairing is needed, as the aeroblades were designed to eliminate the need for fairing. Also, how about MPG hit? Thanks.

With yakima round bars, 3 bike mounts (relatively low profile trays with fork mounts) and wheel forks I took about a 1.2 mpg average hit (which includes some times when those mounts are loaded up with very non-aero bikes). I haven't done any detailed comparisons.  You should do much better with the Thule aeroblades, especially if they don't have equipment mounts attached.

Hi Bro, I can't speak for the mpg hit, but they are quiet and I have never really noted much noise from the aeroblades.

I assume this doesn't not interfere with the radio/GPS antenna?

Valkraider, would you mind sharing what size cargo bin that is?  Is it a Thule as well?
