my drive to work

I think you're right about highway, but city driving really depends on your own driving style and a lot of other variables (how often you visit certain places, so the EV+ can kick in, whether you use air conditioning or heating, how many short versus "long enough" trips you make, etc).

In general I am averaging over 50 mpg in the city, even with the air conditioning on.  I often turn off the car to see 55 mpg as my "reward" for having a light foot on the gas and brake <g>.  (And yesterday on a six mile trip I got my best reward yet -- 67.2 mpg.  But it was a trip my car "knows" pretty well now :>).
