Which TPMS is compatable with the C-Max

I'm looking for TPM sensors for a winter wheel set but don't want to pay $60 a sensor from the dealer. The Ford OEM part# for the original sensor is 1A189(TPMS-12) but I can't find it from other suppliers. Will any Ford TPM sensor work with the C-Max? For example like these from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/GENUINE-MOTORCRAFT-PRESSURE-SENSORS-DE8T-1A180-AA/dp/B0034ROE76/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1409673417&sr=8-2&keywords=ford+tpms

Or are these the same part just different part#?

TireRack.com (headquartered in South Bend, IN with additional shipping locations) sells a package of 4 Ford-compatible 315MHz TPMS sensors for $128 plus $16 for metal valve stems, when purchased with wheels.

The site says 'talk to a sales specialist' to purchase the sensors separately, so they're probably more than $32 each but probably less than $60 each.

Apparently a Ford-compatible TPMS reset tool is also needed if you're installing the wheel/tire combo yourself (put on beginning of season/take off end of season), and that's another $45 or more.

I had my tires replaced by my FORD dealer and they said it was unnecessary to change the sensors. I don't know if you can take them off one set of wheels and put them on a new set. :)

Yes you can, but I'm not swapping tires and wheels I'm just having a seperate set. One set of wheels and tire for summer, and one set of wheels and tires for winter. Hence needing another set of TPMS sensors.

They have them on Ebay Motors much cheaper than FORD, just an option. :)

The C-Max uses a Schrader 20315 tpms sensor, this is the same as a Focus, Escape ect..

The cheapest place I've seen to buy a set is off ebay. The Tirerack price for sensors is the same if you buy wheels or not.

You will most likely need a ford trigger tool to pair the new sensors with your car, they are about $40-50

This is what I ended up doing. This is the same item I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/4X-Tire-Pressure-Monitoring-Sensor-TPMS-for-Ford-9L3T1A180BB-DE81A150AA-TPMS12-/171420002709?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27e96da995&vxp=mtr

I found that you can get the ford trigger tool for $35 off of Amazon.
