ISSUE:Some 2013 C-MAX, Fusion/MKZ Hybrid and Energi vehicles may exhibit the check engine lamp, and/or wrench lamp, and/or red triangle lamp illuminating accompanied by various diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). ACTION:Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. SERVICE PROCEDURE Do you have any of the following DTCs: P0053, P01EB, P0400, P0505, P0600, P061A, P062C, P06B8, P0B0D, P0C28, P0C29, P0C2A, P1124, P175A, P2610, U1011? Yes - one or more of the DTCs are present. Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 88.03 and higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraft.com. At the Module Reprogramming screen in the IDS service tool, select Program PCM. By selecting the PCM the update will be applied to the appropriate modules as required by the software update. No - this article does not apply. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM) or Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual for normal diagnostics.
