Battery Control Module on 2013 C-Max Hybrid

Glad to hear that about yours. I had a software update applied earlier this year and went to start it at my office where I had driven to from the dealer and I got the Stop Safely Now message. I had under 12000 miles at that time. It was the BCM and they had to replace it. The bad thing about this problem is the car will not shut down properly and it can drain the 12V battery if you're not careful. This time I'm in Cincinnati visiting family and got in to head home and same message. BCM again. I'm blessed this didn't happen in the middle of nowhere. Tow company didn't know about the shutdown issue and battery was dead by the time he got it to the dealership. I'm thinking 3rd time won't be a charm, but a lemon.

Has anyone had issues with the hybrid battery Battery Control Module on their 2013 model or other years? I'm sitting in a dealership because of the 2nd failure of this component. 27500 miles and this should not be happening twice.

Hi Jgsykes,

How did everything go at the dealership?
