Wallpaper

The only way I have ever added wallpaper is to copy it to a USB drive, and then insert the USB into the car.  You then save the images to the hard drive ( I guess that is where it is stored in the car).  You then have to go into the menu and select which picture you want to have displayed. I have never tried to copy it directly from the phone using BT.

My phone syncs fine with Bluetooth but I can't get it to connect to add a wallpaper. I've tried Bluetooth and the usb cord but it can't find my phone. Has anyone else have this problem?

Hi Nshogren,

Like ls973800 stated, you can use a USB flash drive to add wallpaper. Unfortunately, the system is not designed to see the pictures on your phone. I hope that helps!

There's a wallpaper thread that will tell you the specifics, like image size.

Frank

May as well list it here:

MyFord Touch allows you to upload photos in several different types of formats, including .jpg, .gif, .png, and .bmp. There is a file size limit of 1.5mb and can hold up to 32 pictures total. The optimal resolution for a photo on MyFord Touch is 800×384.

There are two kinds of size, file storage size and image dimensions. Both can be issues, as cameras/phones gain increased resolution.

800x384 images in less than 1.5MB files of JPG, PNG, GIF and BMP format should work.

Note: Photographs with extremely large dimensions (i.e., 2048 x 1536)

may not be compatible and appear as a blank (black) image on the

display.

Your system allows you to upload and view up to 32 photos.

To access, press the Settings icon > Display > Edit Wallpaper, and

then follow the system prompts to upload your photographs.

Only the photograph(s), which meets the following conditions, display:

• Compatible file formats are as follows: .jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp.

• Each file must be 1.5 MB or less.

• Recommended dimensions: 800 x 384
