MPG vs MPH with bikes on the back

Don't usually go on long trips with bikes on the back, but did this last weekend. It gave me time to figure out MPG penalty with increase of speed.  This is what I saw: 35 mph( 0 mpg's), 45 mph(-1 mpg),55 mph(-2 mpg), 60 mph(-3 mpg) and 70 mph(-5-6 mpg).  70 mph is a big hit on the mpg's,

I would say at 65mph around 41mpg without drafting and 46mpg with.  When I got home I was at 46mpg on 500 miles on the tank and around 200 miles going 45-55mph.  I was probably drafting half the time on the interstate going 60-75mph and 65mph not drafting. ;)  Without the bikes I would have been getting over 50mpg. :)
