I have the supplies needed to do an oil change. I have a sloping driveway and I'm thinking of doing the oil change on the driveway to better drain the oil.

Does the plug point forward or backwards?

I have never read anywhere that draining oil on a slope is beneficial.  However, draining after a drive when the oil is hot is a good idea.
