My 2013 C-Max SEL with appx. 43,000 mi. on it just lit up its check engine light. Specifically, I had driven about 40 miles at highway speed and stopped to get gas. I filled up and when I restarted the car, the CEL illuminated. I ran my OBD2 reader on it and it showed "P060A" as the fault code. I continued to drive the car and the following day the CEL went off. It hasn't returned so far after another 100 miles or so.

I understand that P060A means "Internal Control Module Monitoring Processor Performance" but beyond that I have no idea what this could be about.

Any insight into what I should do would be appreciated. Worth taking it into the dealer now that the CEL is off? It is out of warranty at this point.

The description is shown below.  The QF test is also an inspection of the PCM connector for bad connections, bent pins and so forth and the  measurement / tests for voltage, grounds, opens, shorts, and so forth.  It just may be a one-off event and will not happen again.

If you didn't clear the DTC with your OBDII reader, the code should still be stored in memory.  If you have time (assuming car is still under warranty) it may be worth taking into dealer to document DTC.  I doubt the dealer will find / do anything since the issue is no longer present.  They might "clean" the connector with something like DEOXIT but I doubt it.  IMO, the old adage: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", applies. :)

Thanks, Plus 3!

Since it is out of warranty, I think I'll just sit back and see if it returns.
