The remote has problems locking and unlocking the car.  Occasionally when in the car it will not respond to the start button.  Sometimes it takes a minute or two of trying  before the engine will start normally.

Key fob batteries on my 2013 both died within a day of each other last month after I experienced your symptoms.

Change the batteries in the key FOBs.  Look in the owner's manual or on YouTube.  You can also take your FOBs to a Battery Plus store and have them change the batteries.

Seems to me it was kind of expensive and it is easy to do yourself.  Had the same problem and replacing the battery solved the problem. :)
