Door weatherstrip mod

Recommended Posts

This is something I had done to my previous car after seeing someone post about it on a forum. The doors aren't sealed from road noise as well as they could, so someone put some weatherstrip on the inside edge of the doors. I did it on my previous car and also on my C-Max (because I still had enough left over sitting in a box), but I didn't compare before and after to see if it made a noticeable difference. I put it on the full height of the door on the latch side on my old car, but only on the lower half below the glass on the C-Max. If anyone wants to try it (maybe you may have some spare weatherstrip laying around and gathering dust too) and report if you can tell the difference, that would be great.
