  1. I thought they were a sealed enclosure? Sure you can remove the bulbs but not separate the housing back shell from clear outside lens.
  2. Paul, I got my battery charger hooked up to the positive post under the hood and the negative to the grounding stud. Turned on the charger and it immediately showed a full 8 amp charge. So well see after it charges a bit, but already there is enough energy to open and close the tailgate so thats a good sign.
  3. thanks so much Paul went so far as to get access to the battery with the backseat laid flat If I try hooking my charger to the battery, I see the positive post but the negative under the covering.
  4. This electrical issue has drained the battery so car is dead. Can't open the tailgate to try and recharge the startup battery
  5. Ok I drove home from sisters house and everything seemed normal. Got in my driveway and started pulling in the garage and right away I noticed the proximity sensors were not beeping as if the button was turned off. Checked once parked and it was turned on. Strange never had this before. Shut the car off and went in the house. Came back about 10 minutes later because I forgot something in the car. I faintly heard the radio playing. Tried turning off but none of the Sync screen buttons work. Also my phone connection is not working, can't place a call by lifting the right side paddle. Tell me someone has found a way to fix this without having to put Maxus in the shop?
  6. Thanks Homestead I knew it wouldn't be cheap to upgrade but ouch! not happening right now
  7. Paul I've tried to join the forum but for some reason it won't allow me to.
  8. Kyledamon, you are correct ApplePlay only works through Sync 3 I found out so I guess ApplePlay is not in my future. Bummer!
  9. Does anyone know if it is possible to adapt my 2013 CMax Sync screen to display my Apple iPhone 8 plus?
  10. Paul, to answer your question the only time the car is in the sun is when it sits at work. The fogging seems to be from the inside of the headlight assembly. So polishing would be impossible.
  11. thanks all for the feedback, its just an area of the lens which appears to be foggy, sort of like if you breathed onto a bathroom mirror, only it doesn't go away in time. I just hope that it doesn't continue to expand and the entire lens becomes cloudy and dull, sort of like the theres a big cataract.
  12. Thanks kyledamron, everything about the Energi carries over from my old CMax however I'm unable to set the left side display on the Energi the way I'm used to in my Hybrid. Maybe in time as I learn the in's and out's of the Energi that will change? Time will tell. In the Hybrid I have the left side screen set to always give me a current readout of the Average MPG plus the current state of the battery. With the Energi I have found a way to do that.
  13. We recently bought a second CMax this time an Energi. It is used but very clean for a 2015 with 40,000k. Looking it over I notice the clear headlight lens has this foggy or cloudy appearance inside I believe. Looking at Maxus headlights I notice it as some of this too but much less. Does anybody else have this and it there a way to remove it? Thanks
  14. Bought a like new lightly used 2015 Energi for my wife with 40,000k miles. It is identical in looks to Maxus but does not have a factory sunroof and is rechargeable of course.
  15. It happens regardless of outside temperature. When it happens the power builds up again but not instantly within a few miles.
