  1. It was cool...probably high 50s. It shut off just fine when we got to work at 11pm but when we left at 7am that's when we noticed it. (was a light drizzle that morning)
  2. Saturday morning when I got off work, car started normally. When I turned it off the radio stayed on. Could not adjust volume, change stations etc. Ate breakfast and when we returned to the car 45 minutes later radio was still on. About two weeks before that and the first time I went to use the blue tooth to make a call, it would not work either. We took my phone off and reinstalled it, tried my husbands phone...no luck with either one of them. This was the 1st time we tried to use blue tooth since we got the upgrade to improve the fuel mileage and the speed at which the car would operate on the battery, so I figured it was related to the upgrade. Our dealer's service department is closed on weekends but I was told to take it across the street to their oil, tire, radiator and ac department was and maybe someone there could help. They disconnected the battery and everything is working now. No one there had ever heard of this problem before. Also since our upgrade our fuel mpg is down 3-4 mpg. Today, I took it to our dealer while the service people were there to get the issues documented. I was informed that the mpg would never get any better and that was why the check was sent. I remained nice and listened to his story about how Ford told them the new upgrade also fixed an emission issue and that resulted in our lower mpg. I told him the letter stated nothing about that and the NEW mpg rating was no where near what we were getting prior to our updates. Our vehicle does not come close to the NEW REVISED MPG's. We have an appointment for Thursday where they are going to do a upgrade on the dash, gauges etc and then will hook it up a computer and drive it for some time and see if it can diagnose anything wrong or that needs adjusting. I really wish rather than rattle off some bs, just tell me up front they are not sure but will be glad to test it to see if they can find anything out. I was getting 39-40 before the upgrade and now 34 mpg and they can not remove the upgrade so I can go back to the old one. I asked is it possible since most of these issues happened since the upgrade, could it be that it didn't take correctly and perhaps re-install would be beneficial?. He informed me that "JUST LIKE A HOME COMPUTER, EITHER IT ALL TAKES OR NONE OF IT DOES "...Don't know about most of you, but I have installed LOTS OF MICROSOFT software and only a portion of it would take. I would uninstall and reinstall (sometimes more than once) and finally it would all take and work fine. Guess will wait and see what their line will be come Thursday's appointment. Don't get me wrong, I love the car and even mpg of 35 I would have bought it but maybe its the FEMALE THING...YOU HAVE BREAST AND A BRAIN THEY MISJUDGE YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF CARS and they can just make up answers and think we will accept it. They misread this old gal. I generally research and have facts before I go to see what answer I will get to a problem.
  3. We received our 550.00 refund check today mid morning via Fed Ex. Our location is Murray, KY..far western part of KY, 10 miles from the Tennessee line and 50 miles from the Missouri and Illinois borders We are very pleased with our C-Max and would not hesitate to purchase another should something happen to this one. Would like to get better fuel mileage but over all the \vehicle has been very good. No problems to speak of, no more than with any new vehicle. Have followed up on all the recall and our dealer has been very good about getting us in and out. We will be heading to Florida for a cruise out of Tampa mid November and looking forward to seeing the fuel mileage on a long distant trip. From what I have read, all the checks should be out no later than mid October.
  4. Just got home with it. Got the Sirius radio up and going. Downloaded phone book all with no hicup at all. Headed out on about a 120 mile round trip just to see how well it does and I do learning the curve on how to drive a hybrid. LOL. Dealer started to put the new floor mats in but I told him not to mess with it as we had the weather tech digifit sitting in a box at home ( 8 blocks from dealer ) and have had them for this car for about 6 weeks already. Only hold up was getting the car to put them in !
  5. Dealer emailed at 1425 hours today says car is there and being off loaded from truck now. Seen message at 5 and drove straight to dealer. Sure enough it is here. Will complete service and prep in a.m. and suppose to pick it up mid morning. Yeppie, only 16 weeks and 4 days from order date to delivery. Also the remote starter was orginally shown to be dealer install but it has been installed at the factory so will not be delayed any more to get it installed. Next stop Monday or Tuesday to get 35% window tinting all way around. Bet it gets a couple of hundred miles on it later today!
  6. Guess what didnt make it to the dealership on schedule yesterday? :rant2: MAYBE TODAY WILL BE THE LUCKY DAY !
  7. I ordered mine November 20th. FINALLY got a build date of March 6th. It was built on schedule and is now in shipping stage to be at the dealer on Monday March 11th. I understand the holiday season slowed it down but dang that is a long wait. Got vin# Feb 1st and then got the window sticker on Feb 28th.From start to finish, assuming it does arrive this next week will be about 16 weeks. At least it was built the day the sticker showed and looks like shipping is going to be less than one week. Cant wait till Monday to see if its arrived. They have to install the remote starter system so hoping for possession onTuesday or Wednesday at the latest. Ruby Red, SEL with the 302A package. Got about all options except parking assist and the roof. Yeppie! :wub2:
  8. I am sure ready...what part of LA are you in ? I was in New Orleans for 5 days in January. I was there for the 1st parade and before the superbowl. No place on earth like New Orleans. Next trip rather than do the train experience, we will drive the new car !
  9. Checked with dealer today. Ours was made on schedule of March 6th and is in delivery now. Scheduled to be at dealership Monday the 11th. Once they get possession should be just a day to clean up, install the remote starter system. Should get possession Tuesday or Wednesday. Going to spend some time tomorrow cleaning up the Ford Edge, getting stuff out of it and snap a few pictures of it for the scrapbook. Hoping the C-Max lives up to my expectations. This will be the first time I have ordered a brand new car from a dealer. With that being said, I got all the options and color combination I was looking for when this quest began ! HURRAY UP TUESDAY AND GET HERE. THE ANTICIPATION IS GETTING TO ME NOW.....................
  10. Got the window sticker today with a build date of March 6th.Hoepfully by the end of March we will be FINALLY driving the new car rather than waiting for it to be built and get to the dealer.
  11. We ordered ours November 20TH. Got the vin # on February 1st, then on Feb 5th got the production date of 03/24.It took us 13 weeks from order to get vin# ( Feb 1st) then 4 more days to get the production date of March 4th. That is another 4 weeks till build date/week. I figure 3 week more til delivered to dealer. Best we can figure is somewhere between 15 - 20 weeks from orginal order date till delivery. That is a long wait but hopefully we will be pleased with it when it finally arrives. One of the delays was probably Thanksgiving holidays then Christmas and New Years so that would knock out a least 2 or 3 weeks they plant was probably down. Old saying " good things come to those who wait"...I will let you know if there is a ounce of truth in that come April or May after we get a 1000 miles or so on it. :yahoo:

  13. Has anyone had a issue with dealer installed remotes ? That was one of the options we chose and found out that it was not a factory install and is to be done after the car arrives at the dealership. I have seen some comments reference there being two different types of them and one is prefered over the other. The one we had installed on the Edge was a 3rd party installer and have never had a problem as it has a great range and is a multifunctional use. The only option we didnt add to that one because it was really new at the time was where you could start it with your cell phone from any place you had a cell signal. Any recommendations or opinions appreciated.
  14. Well I live 12 miles from the Tennessee Line so I can just run down there and grab mine when it gets in . LOL
  15. Ordered a ruby red sel with package 302a on November 20th. February 1st dealer received the VIN# and on Feb 5th they have a build date of March 4th. After reading several of the post I am getting a little apprehensive with all the post about electrical issues. Mileage doesnt bother me to much as the 2010 Edge we drive now gets between 18 and 22 at best and even less when its really cold as we use the remote start so the vehicle is good and warm in the morning when we get off work. We have test driven both the Prius and C Max and like the feel and pep of the C Max over the Prius. I am so tired of the wait, but it seems the end is in sight now at least and I am hopeful that most of the negative issues on here are not what most C Max owners are having to deal with. These are the exception rather than the rule. I have owned Fords off and on for some time and have always been pleased with the quality of vehicle and have had very few problems with them. Will update once the car gets in and can get a few miles on it and will list any issues that have come to light....hope its a short list !
