  1. I thought I remember someone had the lifetime screen disappear when they had a software update done. I'll just have to use the Trip 2 as the lifetime minus the first couple of fill ups as I have already reset it once. I usually reset trip 1 at every fill-up and use trip 2 for overall trips.
  2. In using my new CMax I notice when turned off the lifetime readings on the left screen do not appear, just the current trip readings. Is there anyway I can view the lifetime readings?
  3. The new 2017 is much quieter and rides smoother than the 2013. SYNC 3 is sooo much better as well. When I turn the car off I get a trip summary information screen on the left like in the 2013, but the lifetime screen summary does not appear. I think I'll miss this screen. I wish it could be added back or I can find some other way to get the information. I do like having the gas mileage screen on the right screen of the dash. I can follow mpg as I follow the My View/power screen on the left side. I am waiting to try out the Apple Car Play one night this week. As I understand it, I'll be looking forward to using the iphone navigation. Never could get use to using the cumbersome Ford nav.
  4. Thinking about getting a new Cmax Hybrid for the everyday car. No real issues with the 2013 just what to get another one while they are still being made. Its the only car my wife has every commented on about she likes it. What are the improvements on the 2017's? any non-improvements? The 2013 is a SEL and the 2017 is the Titanium 301 package.
  5. Thanks for the graph. But what is the difference between the two cars? Is there something in the drive train that is different? I am thinking about getting a CMax energi for my 50 mile commute on the interstate but what to understand why I may get less mpg than in my CMax Hybrid. I am now thing about getting a Focus instead of the Energi since the highway mpg is the same and the initial cost for the Focus will be $7000 less.
  6. Why is the Energi model rated 2 mpg lower in the gas mode than the Hybrid model. I can't believe the extra 270 pounds of battery would make that much difference.
  7. Does anyone use one of these? I and thinking about being able to haul 6 each 5 gal gas cans, yard care items and an occasion 5' -6' tall plant and am wondering if these cargo carriers would work for these items. I use a F-150 now and just seeing what overkill it is and looking for other options. Roger
  8. Live outside Richmond, VA. Got my $475 check today with a letter from Ford apologizing and a copy of the new fuel mileage sticker.
  9. I know the trade-in would be a bummer but the $4,000 tax credit will offset the beating. Looks like the monthly cost of the NRG would be $100. That is the monthly payment less the gas savings.
  10. I am thinking about the spot shortages last year when a couple of the refineries had issues plus I don't see the US economy and especially the US government moving in a positive direction for growth. Its hard to stay the same, very hard to grow, but easy to go down as we have gone in the last few years.
  11. I appreciate the comments. First off I am not a "greenie" nor do I try to save every penny. Sometimes convenience and future costs are part of the equation. Its just you don't know all the factors. I have looked at the costs of getting a new 2013 Energi over my Hybrid. It will not pay for itself in the time I plan to keep the car. Including all the 13 incentives and the tax credit the loss will not be much, ~$ 4K which I'll be able to save about $ 800 per year on gas. I figure the price of gasoline will continue to go up, $4 by year's end and over $5 in three. The CMax is mainly used for short trips and the 20 mile range of the battery will normally not be exceeded. My main issue with the Energi is the lack of cargo area. Usually at most three ride in the car and normally only 2 ride in the car. With this we can fold down the rear seat and have enough space for my wife's purchases. This cargo issue what I am still considering. Of course the price differential negotiation with the dealer will be another unpleasant experience.
  12. Just wondering if anyone out there has traded their hybrid in on the Energi? I don't think I would ever recover the cost difference but we do more short trips that medium or long. Most trips would be covered by the 20 mile EV range.
  13. Live outside Richmond, VA, we got our refund check today. My wife and I love the C-Max. Great, not perfect, little car for her needs. Still prefer my '10 Mustang and '13 F150 Platinum, but the C-Max does all we have asked of it with no problems.
  14. Fed Ex brought the check to us this morning, in Chester, VA.
  15. Read the NOAA forecast and expect the opposite. They had the last two years wrong and their hurricane forecasts for the last several years are grossly incorrect. I think they need a new computer model, one that is not government/politically correct.
  16. I guess you only see your own points, not anyone else's.
  17. Has anyone found out how to program a third FOB?
  18. I just posted to the refund check topic and noticed I had 0 warning points. What gives with the warning points?
  19. No check for this Virginia resident. We purchased our C-Max in late November 2012.
  20. Had the update done last Thursday. It appears to help about 6%. Was averaging 42, for the last couple of days its average 44.6.
  21. Power passenger seat w/SEL package and Drivers memory seat. My wife are always having to change the seat position. For her she can get in and then adjust the seat. For me I can't get in, I adjust the seat back, get in and adjust the seat to my position. My F150 has the memory seat feature but I am the only ne that drives it. Wish I could switch it to the C-MAX.
  22. I carry a tire plug kit in my cars and a small compressor. Most sealants are too messy and damage the TPMS sensors. I am thinking about taking the Ford mobility kit out of the car and using the space for more storage.
  23. I learn to drive on my Dad's daily driver, a 1964 Ford Falcon with a 170 in3 inline six and a 2speed automatic - I could walk faster. I got my first car while in college a 1972 Mercury Comet GT - Bright Red with black interior. Loved that car, found it on the internet several years ago for sale. It was a rust bucket so I passed on buying it. Now I settle for my 2010 Mustang GT and 2013 F150 Platinum. The C-Max is for my wife and the family outings. Driving it drives my 18 year old crazy. He says at his age he counts horsepower and at my age I count braking percentage.
  24. What happens if you hold down the right OK button when starting the car?
  25. Changes: The HVAC control round knobs are almost impossible to turn being smooth and short. Make them longer or put knurlling on them like on the Escape. The seats are a little too short for leg support. The console between the seats is narrow and deep. We can only use it for a small box of tissues. Additions: Auto-lock as you leave the car. BLISS - us older folks would like this. Rear heated seats. Cooled front seats. I have these in my F150 and love them. Reclining rear seats. Overall the car is great for what we got it for. Will buy another.
