  1. Only have had my Escape PHEV 5 weeks and 1K miles, but I can get 47 miles all electric. The indicated mile range has been 50-60 but that is based on my trip to work which is down hill vs trip home up hill. I moved up fromC-max Energiso very familiar with how to wrangle more miles per KWH. I have been making use of coasting which is easy with rotary dial shifter. I think the Escape is a big step up from Cmax. I do miss the per cent charge remaining which the Cmax instruments displayed. Now So only get that momentarily when first turning the car on.
  2. Agree. Most likely the 12 volt battery. After 3 years of service in Ohio, moved to El Paso. 12 volt lasted about 2 more years then needed replaced. Now three years later looking at second replacement. Ford warranties the battery for three years.
  3. I had the same problem. Energi built spring of 13. Was driving and had a glitch. Radio was playing but all touch screen and mechanical controls to radio were inop. couldnot use voice command, on-off button, volume updown on steering wheel, knob on dash. Got tomy destination, turned car off. Plugged into 120 charger. Radio would not shut off. Next day car was dead. 12 volt jump and everything back to normal. All controls work. Wondering what the glitch was that caused the MFT and all mechanical switches to stop operating.
