Sorry to hear about your battery woes. I have only had my SE for about a month and a half and so-far-so-good.
-
I just installed this one today. Gotta work on creating a 4 panel image though. Thanks CarpeNivem.
-
I'd go with the Tardis! Where are folks getting these images from, and how do you upload them?
-
I am seeing more C-Maxes lately. The other night I pulled up next to a white SE at a light. First time that happened.
-
I had shot a pic of the stats but somehow it came out so blurred I couldn't read it. Next time I'll be more careful. My total miles were 2,848.10.
-
I finally got my first 500+ mile tank and best mpg at 45.8. The photo I shot was no good so I am attaching my Fuelly entry for the stats.
-
I received mine on Tuesday. Ford Etis still lists it as being outstanding though.
-
41.7 mpg so far at 3,100 plus miles.
-
It has not been removed from mine, but I just got my check yesterday so it may take a while.
-
My check came today.

The Happiest Place on Earth!

Yeah, I bought mine on 8/10 and found out a week later. I'd better get my check!

I actually saw 2 C-Maxes today. And I never see other ones on the road. I saw a white one and a silver one (like mine) on the way home. RSM to Anaheim via Santiago Canyon.

I'm on the West Coast and for my daily commute I drive freeway to work and a hilly canyon route and city streets going home. I typically get 40-44MPG on the freeway in the morning with an Ecocruise speed of around 65MPH. Going home I do a combination of Ecocruise and P&G at between 55 and 60MPH (the canyon speed limit is 55Mph) and I have been getting better than 48Mpg. lately I have been topping 50Mpg most days. That route is about 70/30 canyon/city streets.

This is my first car with all of these types of "bells and whistles" and so far I love it. Since I only had my C-max about a week before I upgraded from 3.1.3 to 3.6.2 I don't really have anything to compare it to. Yes it is a bit distracting and I need to be careful to not paly around with the controls when I should be watching the road. but the voice and steering wheel controls are really convenient and they work well for me.

Tips for Renewing Sirius Radio Subcription
tehuti replied to Laurel's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Either I am used to crappy audio or just lucky, but Sirius sounds fine in my car. I have had it now for a month and I constantly listen to the Bluesville and Studio 54 channels. It's worth it to me but if I can get a deal, why not? However after one month I already got a letter encouraging me to re-up at the end of my trial period at $188.00 for one year. I'll probably try to negotiate one of those deals you guys are talking about. If I only had it in the car it wouldn't be as attractive, but with the internet radio option I like it a lot. Yes I have Pandora, my iPod, iPhone, etc that can also play music but the channels they offer are unique enough for me to pay (something) for them. -
So what do you do for FUN aside from the CMax?

I'm thinking about it. -

Blues! I made my longest run im MaxWell last night. We came down for today's San Diego Blues Festival. It was about 92 miles which I did on Ecocruise most of the way, between 65 and 71mph. I got about 42.x mpg. -
39.1 and rising as of this evening. I get a big boost on my commute home every day. Today I got 51.3 mpg for 29.4 miles. And tha was in 100 degree heat and A/C on. I typically average around 48 mpg on that run.

Other than 2 that I saw right after I bought my C-Max I have not seen any here in Orange County. Every time I think I see one it turns out to be a Focus. It's kind of weird that I would not see any when I have a fairly long daily commute. On the other hand it's kind of cool to have a car that no one else has. It also never occurred to me how many Prius drivers were out there until I bought MaxWell. I see them EVERYWHERE. If the national trend continues, I should start seeing less of them and finally start seeing more C-Maxi on the roads.

I just did fuel up #3 and I am making steady progress. 37.3 to 38.8 on the last tank. And just under 500 miles @ 497. I don't trust myself to go too low before refueling, but next time if I am that close to 500 I'll go for it.

How accurate is the "Miles to E" calculation anyway? Typically I fill up with a quarter tank to go, but with all of the talk on this forum it sounds like folks are milking the tanks a little closer to E than I am comfortable with. Today I supposedly have 62 miles to E and my commute home is 30 miles. That would be perfect for me to fill up at my usual station near home tonight. However, I am uneasy when I see the yellow pump icon, even though I should have plenty of gas to get me home. Any comments? Am I taking a risk or do I have nothing to worry about? BTW, it's probably going to be close to 100 degrees out today.

Mine is MaxWell. Typically I don't name my vehicles, but it seemed appropriate as I spent more time on these forums finding out all of the things these cars do.

What cool hidden feature have you discovered about your C-Max?
tehuti replied to armoredsaint's topic in General Discussion
Where do you keep your spare? It seems like it would take up a lot of space, given the rather small cargo space.
