  1. I'm not sure if is a topic about this anywhere on this Forum, however I'm looking for an answer on my crazy idea that I can replace the current batteries( 160,000.00 km-almost 8 years) with a custom ones that will do around 100 km between charges, like Volt batteries. I believe will require more space, but I love my C-max Energi( over 100,000.00 km electric). My gauge stopped at 99,999km more then a year ago and I'm planing to keep it for more than 10 years from now.
  2. Thanks for your reply! This car is operating in Vancouver Lower Mainland where temperatures are mild. I am always switching to EV Later on Hwy and use EV only in the City traffic. Also, I am plugging the car overnight, so in the morning I will always have 100%. charged My daily commute is 100km( 60 miles), 20 kms will be hwy. On my Ford app in the first 2 years I was in top 10 of every category under Local Ranking. Overall I'm really happy with my C-max Energi. I have 155K kms - 96K are EV., maintenance was very low cost, I changed tires and the wiper electric motor so far, and back up camera is not working( to much to change it- $1500 CAD). Probably I will never change the battery and when it dies I will just replace the car. I will never buy a plug-in hybrid or electric car. When hydrogen ones will be developing to an efficient, reliable one I will consider to try it. I'm back on gas and I will get the Rivian SUV deposit back. Electric cars are not the future IMO.
  3. The same here I just posted earlier. It looks like we have way of finding out what we can do about. Changing the batteries is out of question, is not worth it.
  4. My 2013 C-Max Energi has the same problem. It came with 40 km EV range at full charge and stayed there just in the first half of year. It dropped down every year more than 10%. Right now full charge battery will give me 11 km range or 27.5% of initial Capacity of the battery. Went twice in the last 2 months to my Ford dealer but I hit a hard wall, no one seems to understand my real issue: I don't have a problem with charging the battery, but with losing 72.5% of the storage capacity in 6 years. I mentioned the 8 years warranty on the batteries and again I witnessed a deaf ballet, no one will hear me. Can anybody advise what I can do?
  5. what my friend Charles , forget to mention , is that entire dispute was for driving just in EV mode situation, and it starts from my trip I did yesterday with my C-MAx Energi. Well I jumped in the car and the battery showed 36km EV driving. My trip to destination , about 10 km was in a flat, long line with few stops, one way I did it coasting ( against the traffic ) and when I parked it showed that 26 km left of EV, and I stopped only ones . Returning was a different story , all traffic made me to stop every single stop, with a flow of 60km/hour, By the time I arrived home my gauge showed 21km left . All driving was only EV mode, and on my last stop I got for the first time 100% on brakes, and my gauge increase from 22 to 24 km when I fully stopped. My average score is above 90% on brakes. Almost every time I stopped my gauge increases 1 km , which I get very excited every time. I tried also to see if coasting doing a same thing , but no luck.
