  1. If you can't DAZZLE them brilliance, BAFFLE them with BS :lol2: I think you're absolutely 110% correct. This is an all too common issue when dealing with people in the WRONG job.
  2. I agree. I did my break-in oil change at 500 ICE miles and will change my oil at least twice a year with full synthetic 0W20 :love_shower: I like a clean engine that has no oil leaks :victory:
  3. Hold the brake and accelerator pedals to the floor at the same time and wait for it to reset. Yes, you need to have the system/key on.
  4. It's all done from under the car. The drain plug is on the bottom and the fill plug is on the side. Just remove the closeout panel just like when you change the oil. You can see both plugs. You will need some type of fluid pump to fill it.
  5. Yeah! The idiot at the dealer is another clueless wonder spewing misinformation because he has no idea what the hell he's talking about. I enjoy reading statements like this. It just shows how uninformed dealer personnel really are. Salesman are the worst liars ever and they make up stuff just to hear themselves talk.
  6. Recalls aren't the same as TSB's and the TSB's are not mandatory like a recall. I doubt they took the time to update for anything else. I would take a copy of the TSB and request they update the system based on that info.
  7. The system is set to send out notifications based on standard ICE vehicles. This is why you get the 5K service reminders. Nobody setup the system to take hybrids into account. If they sent your a notice and you want it done, I would force them to do it for free @ 5K ;)
  8. That's ok.... No one asked you to edit my post or grade my response. If it's a problem for you, just ignore it. Thanks!
  9. IIRC, the ratio is 1lb at the wheel equals 30 on the car.
  10. The only problem with chrome is the large windshield that allows so much sunlight in. You tend to get light reflection while driving and it can be bothersome. They removed all the chrome accent trim from the 2014 dash and it's much better, IMO. It looks good, but it's more of a PITA IMO.
  11. All cars have moved to this design. It's the future of automotive conveyance.
  12. This is why you buy the one you really want at time of purchase. New carz aren't like the old daze where you can add anything you want after the fact. Today's carz are computers and require networked control module systems for everything.
  13. Yeah, but just think how much longer you've been able to enjoy the ride. Early adopters usually pay more for the privilege of being first. I made a better deal on my 14 than my 13 even with the 303A package. Different dealer with a larger selection in stock. The more they have, the better deal you can make because flooring costs are high when they start to charge for it. Mine was only about 2 weeks on the dealers lot and they get more incentives to move them faster.
  14. Ain't that the truth.......... :yahoo: Now if we could just get them to stop stalking :clapping:
  15. Take a look in the maintenance section and you'll find some new TSB's for this issue.
  16. Hook it to the sub frame and don't use rope. Use a recovery strap or you could damage one or both vehicles. Make sure no body is standing around between the vehicles either. Using a rope could result in something flying through a window or worse.
  17. Dude....... Get a grip. It's setup like a manual transmission because it doesn't use fluid power like a conventional trans with a torque converter. Try thinking about this stuff before you light your hair on fire and run off like a crazed lunatic. I have no idea why they would rate it for 150K. Maybe because it's not conventional. I really don't care what they rate things at. I'm always gonna service my stuff as I see fit. You can follow any plan you like.
  18. OMG! Really.......... You have nothing better to do than this ? I really don't care what your problem is... Take a hike :drop:
  19. I should be able to get a chance to monitor mine today. I'll post my results for you. I will be using my Ford IDS to get the data, so mine will be accurate info.
  20. That's the problem with a standalone aftermarket add-on unit. Besides the fact that the heated seat control is a rotary style design and it would require you to leave it on one of the five settings to use it. Is your car an Energi or Hybrid SEL?
  21. No problem. Welcome to the C-Max club. I wouldn't let it bother me too much, but it might be something I would hunt down at some point if it came back if for no other reason than to know what it is. I doubt it's anything effecting the vehicles safe operation. Happy Motoring :happy feet:
  22. That's for the add-on unit the dealer sells. It's a standalone unit and it would require a separate FOB as it's not integrated into the cars systems. The only way to make it like a car ordered with the push button system would be to install the factory system by ordering all the components and configuring the vehicle for it.
