  1. 8600 miles, navigation off-target issue, fixed with software upgrade. Windshield seal leaky, fixed under warranty.
  2. My wife's c-max had a small leak in the windshield seal (also discovered in a car wash) which was also fixed under warranty.
  3. I first drove a CVT with my 2013 Honda accord last year and the experience with CVT was definitely a plus when choosing C-Max for my wife.
  4. We got the Costco price, I was a few hundred dollars below invoice and saved us close to 1k from the X-plan price (sorry do not remember exact numbers now).
  5. salsaguy, in my experience, I was able to combine factory incentives with Costco pricing, but not the dealer incentives.
  6. Hear/read this planet money podcast on how the current dealer franchise laws came into being and how they will never change even though they are anti-consumer - http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/2013/02/19/172402376/why-buying-a-car-never-changes
  7. Smiling Jack, have not tried it but there is a valet mode, it probably disables those things.
  8. Well, even if you assume you got 20MPG with ICE for 100miles and infinite MPG with EV for 100 miles, that would still average out to 40MPG, much lower than what you would intuitively expect given that you are averaging with infinity on one side.
  9. Assuming that you are averaging fuel economy achieved over equal distances, using MPG, the average is the harmonic mean, vs with using GPM (or L/100k) it is the arithmetic mean. So, if you achieved 20MPG using ICE and 80MPG using EV, your average will be 32MPG - so much closer to the lower number. The same fuel efficiency, you got 5G/100M using ICE and 1.25G/100M using EV, the average is 3.125G/100M which seems much more intuitive. That is the problem with using MPG for measurements as it inflates the distance when you get to higher MPG and compresses lower MPG together.
  10. Ok, I guess I will make a service appointment with the dealer and see how it goes from there.
  11. It doesn't seem to be a case of software not keeping up but rather the GPS hardware being miscalibrated or faulty, as the location is off even when not moving. Was hoping that it was fixable with a swap of the GPS chip or something like that.
  12. So, we bought a 2014 CMax SEL with 303A package for my wife 10 days ago. I have noticed that the location shown by the built-in navigation is off by 100-200ft, it would show us driving off to the side of the road (or even another parallel road) and behind or ahead of our actual location. This was in areas with good visibility to open skies. Have other people experienced this (on 2014 or 2013)? Is this something we should be getting the dealer to look at? Thanks, Anil
  13. Find the window sticker for your car at http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX - just replace the X's with your VIN to see the options etc that the car was manufactured with. Looking at ford.com, seems like navigation is a prerequisite for rear view camera on the 2013 also.
  14. I have been in the market for a C-Max hybrid for a while and waiting for the 2014 hybrids to come in to hopefully fix the first generation bugs. I see that all the dealers in my area now show 2014 C-Max hybrid in their inventory - as dealer ordered - so not yet physically in the inventory, but should mean that the factory production must have started or be close to starting.
