There is a High MPG Club, there is the 600+ CMax Club (sub that to 600, 700 and 800..may be 900 club...) so yeah - theres lots to aim for, for sure :)

Oh...that backup camera is a GOD SEND! Especially on trash days and you have to do a 3 pointer on narrow bin filled streets..you can back the CMax right up against the bin with ZERO worries. Gotta get the SEL....

Did u end up posting an update to it? I may have missed it.... Never played Arroyo Seco. Played everywhere around the SF valley, occassionally heading down to Simi Hill but thats now expensive. I don't like to pay too much for the green fees, its a bad enuf rip off on the weekends as it is. Unfortunately...thats now my only play time with a 9-5 job. Yeah...driving a stick would be fun on the left hand drive vehicle. My last stick shift was a right hand drive....

salsaguy - it not that bad. trust me when I say I probably do more 3 point turns than anyone here working as a real estate appraiser and shooting a ton of comps, I can live with it and not annoying.

Here is what I did - get your dealer to apply the TSB, and then go try it out, You'll know soon enough if that patch worked or not. Mine did not. Yeah...take it to Galpin, they did mine and they kept it for about 3 days to investigate the issue and talked with Ford - in the end, they just replaced it and mine has not lost tracked...once in a blue moon, I notice it will rubber band but it goes right back. I cannot be happier than I am now with the GPS.

Funny enuf, I am a hybrid virgin too....I don't think I did too badly in that department. You'll be scary good in the TDI :stirpot: . Funny enough, storage was last on my priority but it proved itseld nicely in the end...just the pure ride, "tightness" and the SUPERB view did it for me in my evaluation. I thought it was very prudent of you to check and ask the prudent questions. Tonight I was driving my wifes 2006 Jaguar and the electronics felt so dated. As much as I use to whine (and really the rest of the forum) about the MFT, its pretty darn good with the sleek graphics, integrated voice commands and at a touch navigation, entertainment etc and the 3.5.1 really finishes it well...plus - thus far - we have stability like Win7. Yeah, better speed and may be an ever better UI would help....3.6? Enjoy your stealthy 2013 Corsair ;)

...I ain't amazing. It's Maxine that is AMAZING! And Ford Motor company :) It will be interesting to see how the new PCM update will change things. I am sure I can do better based on the reports here and hopefully, a few more posters will join me in the 800 Club :drool:

In total agreement with my fellow hypermiler. Predominanty 2 bar user here but I do dwelve into 1 bar or 3/4 barwhen I want a compromise between quick run and more charge but YOU - da driver - has to call this as each street and traffic is different.

So this is my 2nd 800+ mile tank.... ] This one has a wee bit freeway and 1 return trip by the wifey which basically wiped out about 1 MPG, but not bad though. Fill up was 13.611 gallons! And YES I topped up.... However, on my way back I was so dissappointed... I should sue Ford for such poor mileage. After all, one has to expect the advertised 47MPG even when AC was on, racing another car up the freeway on-ramp, 68mph on the freeway, climb more hills on the way home and also to charge upmy battery while I was at it....ssssshhh....c'mon Ford, you know you misadvertised so I am going to sue.... :flyaway: Its a j/k fellas... :lol:

We are all owner posters here. However, I wanted to point out that 2 posters have contributed a lot to our discussions and forum and yet neither of them owned a CMax...so I thought it would be appropriate to acknowledge them and welcome them both into our CMax family here on fordcmaxhybridforum.com...and no, I do not own or have shares here...jus a wee moderator :victory: salsaguy & hybridbear - honorary CMax family members :rockon: Hybridbear - he's contributed a lot to and the guy doesn't even own a CMax - jus a FFH ...well I guess its close cause his parents own an Energi. If you find an ole Ford Social video discussion, hes one of the lucky guys who got to talk to the main Ford Engineer and asked some pretty pertinent discussion...you have to go back to nearly Jan for that one. Salsaguy is jus salsaguy....he's always welcome to QA the darn posts here...lol. Lots of interesting insights and contributions...one day he'll steal his wifeys car for 3 weeks and post up his own 800 tank. :congrats: to you both and lets all give them both a warm welcome to our family :)

Lets not even bring in the recalls the Prii has had....good luck with the decision MadCMax, wish u the best :) PS I would never, ever trade in the superior comfort, ride & handling of a CMax for the mere MPGs in a Prius and those dreaded seats and small wee gas tank, nor the space either when I travel to Mammoth. Forgetaboutit. No probs with the MPG either, second 800 miles a tank today :headspin:

Rapier - yeah, I can see the ICE High MPG but thats done manually which I did try early on in my hypermile driving here (look at one of my ole threads ICE High mpg vs eco cruise vs P&G) and I found it to be very distrating to keep it at that bar, to me it was dangerous then jus because O had to watch the gauge so closely and its diferent doing this at 35 mph vs 65 mph or 68 mph...woah. However, I try it next tank and see if my impression is the same. The eco-cruise ICE High MPG was so nice, akin to your eco-cruise at the surface street....now who said I don't use eco cruise... ;) Is this is a different CARB to the one in my acronym thread? Do fill us in.... :)
