  1. What change to what blog? Nope, I'm still posting away. Had a fight with a Galpin Ford service advisor. My regular one was gone and this guy I dealt with did not even know what MFT was...sssh. "Oh its internet speak"...really, do you spell it out there in the shop? Sssssh. Anyway, not great news - even they cannot do anything until the almighty Ford God decides to release 3.5.1. As for my GPS pictures and issues he scoffed at it but acknowledge the latest TSB does nothing to resolve the issue...its "software" he said. I think next time I'll just roll up and force Galpin Ford to test my GPS component... :rant2:
  2. Trying to see if there is ANY poster over here with a MFT 3.1.3 that has a working Navigation with NO issue with "floating" triangle or triangle going over houses etc? Also, if you have the TSB 13-1-11 applied and it works, let us know as well. et us know....anyone?
  3. lol, how do you know it's no 286 in there? They have to do something with these older cpus... ;) Nah, no problem with mine either and I use my backup camera a ton and I totally :wub2: it. Much better than just sensors.
  4. Ha...yeah...from a distance that look similar to other SUVs. However, after a while, your eyes become trained...no more grasshopper but become Yoda of the CMax spotting... I am seeing more CMaxs now and these drivers are driving them fast - good to see. Yes, yes, I am in my FE :superhero: mode most of the time.
  5. Yeah I agree but some of the stuff like MFT and other features are shared across the Board. I did what I could but it can always be better and we can work on cleaning it up going forward. FAQ is not done yet...so go for it :) For the time being, start the thread in the Welcome section and I'll speak with the other mods to confirm its final placement - I suspect most people who need the FAQ are the newer members. Us old f*rts got it all in the head already..... ;)
  6. Good stuff Ridley  I did start this thread in the Welcome section for new CMax owners: Welcome to the website - some helpful videos for you and your newcar Although it does not specifically directs the new members to the gauge side, it brings them to an overall "Home" pages and they can navigate down. The inspiration for that thread was after the Irvine meeting where Ford techies were really trying hard to show us new owners some spiffy stuff like the gauges and the various controls which we don't normally think about. Also, if anyone has some more relevent vidoes thats not already included in my initial links, feel free to post 'em up. I am hoping to get the above thread pinned as it will save new members a lot of time from wading through the posts and repeating the same topics. :)
  7. I've used this off and on when it gets hot here in SoCal (>72F) for street and freeways and based on what I am seeing, it's negligible on the MPG as long as you have keep the battery charging. It will drain the battery a little quicker but I wouldn't worry about - get comfortable :)
  8. I did mine about 2 weeks after Adair posted she got hers and that was before the Feb Irvine meeting - but thus far, I've not heard anything since then. By the way RDAgroup is the same group that organized the Feb Irvine meeting. As to what to fill - put in your complaints and your suggestions. Theres no right or wrong thing to say and sometimes being picky does have merit (like my panel that kept coming off near the accelerator) and even put in your complaint about the MFT. So yeah, go for it
  9. What browser are you using? For example, if you're using the Google Chrome, you can use the CTRL and - or + key (hold them both down) to increase or decrease the size of the fonts in your browser. Let me know if that helps...
  10. That is a rarity - go get yourself a lottery ticket dtorres! and GREAT CATCH by the way
  11. Thanks Ron....I have no idea at this time as to what the stars mean....happy driving friend... :shift:
  12. Nice find, thanks for sharing! Rear looks like its lost some space there and the nose doesn't quite have that "muscle" look to it anymore...hard to tell with the blacking stuff on the nose. Thus far, I'll keep mine.
  13. Ron, take a drive to Mammoth when you're all done. You may or may not ski but I can guarantee you'll have one of prettiest drives in all of CA...sounds like you badly need it! ;)
  14. frbill - well done :) Pretty impressive for 1,350 on the odo. You have way more gas to go...and the diff between gallons used and fll is about rule-of-thumb right. Mine is about the same as well.
  15. Just snap some pictures that show your car driving on the houses, that will do it. I really don't think any of these issues will be resolved until 3.5.1 is released - thus far, I have seen no one with the newer version complain (watch - as soon as I post this, someone with 3.5.1 will post a thread with a GPS complaint... :nonono: )
  16. Sweet! Thanks for sharing. One thing...unless I missed it, you need the tinting for the windows, it really adds another level to the car ;) I think I need those matts for my Mammoth trip, its always a right mess when I return...oh wifey...... :worship:
  17. Adair and Rachel are right....watcha all complaining about....you got great mileage and if you're off by a few MPGs what does it matter - still kills the other gas guzzlers. Case in point - this evening I just got back from Mammoth Mountain again. Driving there for 280+ miles with a strong headwind and freezing a$$ cold it got 37.8MPG (not my worse nor my best). This evening I got home and it was 53.3MPG with a tail wind and it was a snowing 29F when I left Mammoth. Average 45 MPG, pretty good - considering the load and conditions. It was a sandstorm all through the 395 and into the 14 and into Palmdale/Lancaster. Rain, cold, sleet, headwind, sand storms, snow - the CMax does it all with a smile. Sometimes the MPG gods smile and shower you with ridiculous MPGs and the next instance - smite you with a cold strong headwind...and all you can do is enjoy the scenery and think that each gas guzzler SUV passes you by, you're on EV while the other guy is burning away his beer money ;) Oh today the route home was littered with CHP...holy crap, they were out in force and it's Monday, thank goodness I have a hybrid in FE mode :shift: &
  18. Here...thanks for the info StoBro2, I was wondering when someone was going to take on the wheel department. I don't think I've seen anyone other than Donhak change 'em wheels. Keep us updated should u decide to change 'em wheels. By the way those Michellins are reputed to be one of the best lrr tires, r u saying there are lighter, better lrr tires?
  19. I don't think more regulation is any way to go...private companies invent/create technology based on demand not cause the government says so. Car companies are getting more in tune with their customers which is a BIG reason for the Irvine event last Feb. Hybrid driving is so different, the mindset is different.. no longer fanging to your destination, with gas prices looking like it's staying at $4 or more and most of us making less money.. what u can save even a few dollars makes a world of difference for most families... it does for mine. Keep innovating companies and get the government the hell out...
  20. Sweet frbill...let's keep it coming :)
  21. Snow is good, snow allows Jus to have FUN! Even flat snow is good, can always cross country - better than an eliptical machine.... ;)
  22. Snowstorm - some great ideas! Lets make this as FUN as possible!!!!! I am sure other will kick in their pictures.... And yes, I know...trust me to hit it at 11,111...hey, one is better than none ;)
  23. I talked with Galpin, still no TSB on this software patch at this time. Mine is acting weird, it will only open if I kick it one way and not any other. One time I pressed the button and it closed but the sensor said it did not lock so I had to repeat the process. This was always buggy as many of us found....so its another patch we all need to wait for now...man...its really getting crowded with all of us in this holding pattern over the Ford airport.... :shoppingcart_:
  24. I could not pass this up...had to pull over and snap it... 11111.1 :) Have some fun...post up your next Palindrome numbers when you spot it... Next...
