I wish I would have found this thread before I bought a Ford c-max sel. It's been a little over a two and a half years and my transmission went out so I had it replaced with the warranty, at the dealership; about a year into owning it . When I got it back the inside was a mess and there were car parts that didn't not belong to my car. Then I had to take it back because all the lights came on and it started overheating really bad. They got the lights turned off but they didn't replace some caps under the hood and they told me that the car will run without them.(This is the Ford dealership!!!) A week ago the transmission is dead again so I took it back to the dealership for them to tell me there is metal in the transmission. I looked it up and asked a few mechanics and it turns out that the dealership did not empty out the oil completely or at all when they replaced the original transmission the first time. Now the dealership want me to pay $8,000 to replace the transmission. I can't afford that and he told me that now that I'm paying out of pocket they will get me brand new parts ( they installed a used transmission into me car!!! Because I used the warranty), get the car back faster, and give me 4 year warranty. The transmission that was covered with the warranty only had a 1 year warranty and no I was not told. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR OR ANY CAR FROM FORD!!!NEVER AGAIN!! NOW I HAVE A GIANT PAPER WEIGHT!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!
