I wonder if the problem has been associated with certain c-max's Ie built between X date and Y date. And with a certain option code. or is it just dumb luck... my SEL which I've owned used since May and I have my ipod plugged into the usb port 100% of the time. and so far (knock wood) the vehicle has not even hesitated to start.

I called ford about 2 weeks ago. I bought my cmax used from a honda dealership. Ford claims I am due to receive a check... They also explained that tracking down the owners via vehcile registrations and such takes abit more time. My dilemma was that I purchased he car before the deadline in one state and was issued temp tags. but I was not able not register my car in my state until after i got the clear title, which was after the deadline. So I can understand the difficulty of following a paper trail for tens of thousands vehicles nationwide. They said if I don't get a check by the end of september to call them back. I'm not concerned. I have proof of ownership before the deadline, they have a case file already opened for me.

Updated C-Max to be Revealed on September 17
Marc Smith replied to 62Lincoln's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
I like the wheels. much easier to clean than ours.. I like the lower grille recessed on the current model. but the more aero nose on the new one should help some though with the mpg.... looks like that they change the guages up a bit as well... -
Yeah, my folks, who live in the villages woudl love it.. but not really inclined to do a job search and uproot the kid from high school and loose my tuition benefits for her college... :)

one of the lucky ones...car is garaged at home, yeah I'm one of the anal retentive types that actually keeps TWO cars in a TWO car garage. And at work I'm in a parking garage as well. That being said. even if you stop at a shopping center and it happens to be nasty weather, rainy, windy, ect. its amazing how much leaf litter you pick up. why not something like a stainless steel mesh/screen http://www.twpinc.com/wire-mesh-material/stainless-steel or a perforated metal. http://www.pwsteel.com/petro_perforated_metal.html here is some weatherproof foam... http://www.foambymail.com/outdoor-foam-seats-and-cushions.html
