min is still working fine... I use it to prop my feet on it when I put on my golf shoes... I think with the lip makes getting the placement easy, just getting the thing to stick in the proper place I think is the hardest part. even with mine "off a bit" I'm still pleased. you might need an extra pair of hands or something. I'm not sure but maybe if you sprayed it down with soapy water before application that adhesive woudl grab when you squeegee the water out from under it...like you would for any decal...

Post Your Life Time MPG's, Total Mi., EV mi., Regen mi. and Brake Score
Marc Smith replied to ptjones's topic in Fuel Mileage
if I remember correctly it was showing lifetime mpg of 40 or 41.... -
Its better than the prius, that being said, my last two tanks the indicated MPG(trip) and indicated fuel used corresponds with what was pumped and MPG done with the calculator.. keep in mind that even when you calculate the MPG its not exact since you are are not sure that you are getting the car filled to the exact same level.

Mine also has some large gaps... but when I look at the the way the car is built, it looks like they are intentional large gaps. I'll get some pics of mine later

Tinting Windows
Marc Smith replied to Kelleytoons's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
have always had tinted windows... had several cars in florida and had 5-10% back in the early 90's before tint laws really became a thing... went 35% all the way around with a 5% strip to the as1 line on the windshield on the C-max got the 3m tint... after tax it was just under $300... in VA my front windows are now "illegal" but I don't think the c-max is going to garner a whole lot of police attention... -

nice thing about fuelly is that you can record notes. which means you can record oil changes, tire rotations, wiber blade changes, ect. so juts top off the tank when you get services done and keep track for future reference...

go to fuelly after you sign up... there should be a button or a link that says "Share you MPG" below that "view all badges and stuff you can share" click it and it will provide you a URL that you can paste into your sigline

Ambient Lighting Control not working or not there?
Marc Smith replied to Kelleytoons's topic in Interior
does your switch panel look the same? not sure if the SEL is different form the SE http://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/OwnerVideoPage&year=2013&make=Ford&model=C-MAX%20Hybrid the button on the right all it does is turn on/off the dome lights.. and the center is a dimmer... the ambient lights is the footwell, door handle, cupholders, ect. not the gauge lights.. -
Ambient Lighting Control not working or not there?
Marc Smith replied to Kelleytoons's topic in Interior
on the console on mine I have two buttons, and a dial. the button on the passenger side controls the interior lights Ie overhead and footwell. on or off independent of everything else. the button on the driver side which has a painter pallette on it. controls the color of the ambient/footwell lights. half a dozen different colors, and the dial in the center control the brightness of these lights. When you open a door the door light turns red... you must have the headlights on to activate the ambient lights. when its dark its much easier to see the lights as well. -
Frank, sorry about your luck...Buying from "arizona" definitely not easier than buying from the UK.... :) Any way you can trim the edges of the part to make it fit. Might be less frustrating that dealing with cutomer support

thanks for info guys... nice to see that the iphone will be just fine with the the cmax

ive been using an ipod classic (40gb) with a broken screen for my music. Occasionally I use my phone with pandora....but with 3g, its not the best... the ipod stays plugged in and velcro'd to the side of the center console down in the bottom out of the way..

Hey folks, making the switch from android to I phone. Its work related so I don't have an option. If love to move from my 3g motorolla BB clone to a galaxy... but the new boss is hooked on apple products. Not that I complain I love my ipods and my daughters I phone.. Juts curious if there are any issues I may have with the MFT

I like having "no wires" in the cockpit. but the little "eyebrow" over the the screen near the CD slot is a nice place for the suction cup mount... and still have it easily reachable... In a couple weeks I'm moving from a 3g android to a 4g Iphone so hopefully I'll be able to use my smartphone for nav and get away from the garmin...

kelly, I was told the same thing... I guess if you were able to find a wrecked SEL, there may be a way... the SEL has a GPS receiver... so the car always knows "where it is" but Iwoudl imagine that it could be done. just going to take time and money to figure it out.. I wonder if anyone has ever tried to slip the nav card into the SD slot and see what happened...

I had a 2010 prius (hatch) and when it got squished I was looking very hard at the prius v. My sailinghobby I need the longer space. I was able to fit my stuff into my prius, but it wasn't comfortable...so the V was a viable option. I did a 25 mile test drive in the V. it drove just like the prius. uninspiring, but capable. I liked how the rear seats moved. but i did not like the fit finish of the rear cargo area when compared the prius hatch or the c-max. In the end for me, price won out. I got a nearly loaded 2013 cmax, low miles for 19200 and factory bumper to bumper warranty while the v's were a couple thousand more with higher miles...and the only warranty was the powertrain... I was able to squeeze my boats into the c-max and I like the interior more than the prius...wish my cmax had nav, the only down side.. w

when I had my HHR, I installed factory roof racks... the kit came with some sort of a "nuzert" blind nut type of thing that expanded when you tightened it down. no need to even remove the headliner...pretty slick, no leaksin two years gasket and a tube of silicone... It looks like the ford escape has some sort of threaded hole for the rack to secure to... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Roof-Rack-Side-Rails-for-Ford-Escape-2013-2014-/400695489646?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d4b4ff46e&vxp=mtr I agree the rails look sharp....wonder what kind of MPG hit they would cause... keep in mind that the rails are only side rails, with no cross bars to support any thing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Ford-Grand-C-Max-Roof-Rails-1-688-531-/221368356386?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Touring_Travel&hash=item338a950e22 looks like the older generations of c max's had factory cross bar as an option with no side rails...

one problem is turnover at the dealerships... I would imagine that sales guys move around, following the carrot. one problem is unit saturation... Ford has 6 cars, 6 suv/crossovers, and 6 trucks. and i would imagine that they have 2-3 trim levels for each vehicle, which means the sales guy has to learn at minimum 18 types of vehicles with another 18-36 trim levels...And if they have a dealership that has lincoln or some other brand attached, then you might as well double it... and with car makers changing models every few years and trims every few years its no wonder the dealerships are clueless. and its not just fords problem. All automakers are the same... I guess they figure they figure its easier and cheaper to let the customer learn all they can learn from the internet and hope the staff can fake their "knowledge" enough to get by...

comments are golden.. LOL

the first season got good reviews....so I watched the first episode of the second season and was bored out of my mind... nice to see the Cmax get some air time... though...not happy to see it "bloodied" up... but hey its hollywood...

Not sure anyone cares... but last nigh on the FX show "The Bridge" A cartel accountant and enforcer rented a ruby red C-max and promptly killed a guy in it and left it running turning circles as a mobile crime scene... some of the dialog when the rented the car... Enforcer: What kind of car is this Accoutnant: Its a hybrid...they are popular in America E: Hybrids are gay A: Many Americans drive hybrids E: many americans are gay... gotta love it...

13.9 gallons... WOW... I though the tank was only 13.5....must be a long fuel filler neck..
