  1. Yep, that's what I did. Went straight to taking the battery out without disconnecting the high voltage, had no issues. Thanks everyone for the info!

    Battery Issue?

Got it replaced. Thanks everyone for you help!
  3. Interesting. Might explain why there isn't much out there on how to disconnect the high voltage.

    Battery Issue?

    Ah, perfect. Thank you!
  5. Hi Everyone, I am looking to get an OBD2 device, but there are a lot of options out there. I was wondering if any of you have recommendations on ones that work well with a C-Max Hybrid 2014 (don't know if it matters the year or not). Looking forward to your recommendations!
  6. Hey folks, I've been scouring the internet and the forums here to figure out where the disconnect is for the high voltage connection, so that I can replace my 12v battery. So far, all information is about the Energi model and not the hybrid. In the owners manual, it says it's behind the rear seat passenger side, but nothing seems to be there. Would anyone know where the access panel is for the high voltage disconnect? Thanks in advance!

How do I do that? Do I need an OBD2 device?

    Battery Issue?

Thanks fbov. Just checked the car and did the test. The radio played for, drum roll please..... 10 seconds. Lol, I think it's pretty safe to say that the 12v battery is gone. And I believe this is the original one. Looked at previous records, and I didn't see any mention of a 12v battery being replaced.

    Battery Issue?

Hey folks, First time posting on here. I have a 2014 C-Max hybrid and a couple weeks ago, I went to turn on the car, and nothing started. I tried a couple things, and amazingly, I was able to get the car going again. After that, the car had been able to start up, no problem. I had some problems with the trunk opening, and had to do that manually, but other than that, everything seemed fine till today, where I had the same problem again, nothing worked (except the 12v cigarette outlet). Did the same tricks again, and got it to work. At this point, I'm guessing it's the 12v battery that might be the issue, but was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue like this. Thanks in advance for any help!
