  1. I just came from a 2013 SEL Escape AWD. Average in all my driving for 40000 miles was 27 MPG. The Cmax is giving me on average 49 MPG under same driving conditions/habits. You can do the math :happy feet: :yahoo:
  2. The EPA is just flat out wrong ;) Though I will say that the actual amount of fuel I pumped back in was 12.657 gallons?
  3. Just tried mapquest for a short trip I am taking tomorrow and it worked OK on my end. The option to send to car and Sync were there and clickable.
  4. The Nav traffic works off of the Sirius subscription. The Nav does show you which lane to be in.
  5. Sorry to read of your wife's passing snakebitten. You are doing her well by keeping her Cmax,
  6. Would love to own a F150 XLT Crew Cab. Sadly, owning it is all I could do. Couldn't afford to keep it "fed"!
  7. In reference to the third question, maybe I am getting old but I thought the blonde with glasses WAS a hot chick! :wub2:
  8. I got my 2013 two weeks ago with the new EPA ratings on the sticker, guess I'm out of luck
  9. There has been a few occasions since I got my 2013 SE two weeks ago that after shutting the vehicle completely off, there is a sound coming from the rear tire well areas that sound like the humming of a fan. The key is out of the ignition, the dash is powered down, and all exterior lights are off. I noticed it again tonight when washing it and the hum lasted nearly five minutes before it stopped. Given the battery issues with early 2013's I'm wondering if somehow a fan is cooling the HV battery and possibly draining the 12V battery in the process? My vehicle was delivered to the dealer in April of 2013. It sat on his lot till I bought it at the end of June 2014. How do I tell when it was actually made? Does this happen to others? Thanks
  10. I still have my 2103 Escape as the lease will end in two weeks. I bought my 2013 Cmax two weeks ago because of the deal I got or I may have waited a bit longer. When comparing the two side by side the Escape is ta bit taller and a bit longer. Cabin space wise, the two are identical except for the trunk area as you noted. It is shorter and more narrow back there. When my wife first sat in the Cmax she was impressed that it was THAT similar to the Escape. Knowing the Cmax is a bit smaller car she assumed the interior cabin area would be smaller too, not so though! The kids in the back seat have exactly the same room as in the Escape. I think if I get the chance tomorrow, I'll take some pictures of the two side by side for comparison sake.
  11. Congrats kelleytoons. I got my 2013 SE new just two weeks ago today and couldn't be happier with mu purchase thus far. I have exceeded the EPA ratings on both tanks so far, averaging 48.5 MPG including highway/AC use. I got a leftover 2013 at a steal and it looks like it's equipped the same as yours, with cloth, MFT and Nav, and power lift gate. Mine also included the moonroof, though I wished it was retractable to a degree. Enjoy your new ride.
  12. I'm sure i can hit the 600 mile club on this tank, just my first fillup BTW. I am wondering if I shouldn't push it to the 700 mark? Still have a bit over half a tank full. I'm shocked at the MPG's I'm getting. I live in a very hilly part of NE PA and see drastic elevation changes everywhere I drive. I bought this car just a week and a half ago expecting to average 40ish! I'm rather pleased thus far :love_shower:
  13. I watched this before finally deciding on the CMax. It was well done and helped me decide in the end.
  14. Thanks Paul, I found it this AM while at a traffic light! Hope to join the 600 club on the current tank.
  15. Forgive me if this has been asked before: My trip computer does not show the amount of fuel used as I see in these pictures above. Is there an update I may not have that adds fuel used to the trip meters? I did my first fill up today: Drove 579.1 miles and added 11.998 gallons of fuel. Manually calculated that nets 48.26 MPG. Computer was showing 50.1 MPG. With at least another gallon left to burn, I could have made the 600 club on my first tank had I know how much fuel I had burned to that point. BTW 2013 SE Cmax left over, got a heck of a deal as it sat for nearly a year on the dealers lot.
  16. Another new member here. Picked up my 2013 Ruby Red SE last Monday. It has 203A package with moon roof. Came from a lease on a 2013 SEL Escape. Interior seems identical except for trunk space. First fill up was today. 579.1 miles and put 12 gallons back in for 48.26 MPG average! Looks like I can hit the 600 club easily on this tank full :)
