  1. I am hearing clicking noises in the rear when I am reversing especially over small bumps . Most noticeable when transitioning from garage to the driveway and when the driveway meets the road . I also hear it sometimes when driving over rough roads. The car is a 2014 C-max hybrid SE with only 13000 miles. Any ideas ? tks
  2. About 500 miles after Oil change . Total miles on car only 3500 miles . Oil is very clean .
  3. I have a 2014 Cmax hybriD SE. The Oil was changed after 9 months with only about 3000 miles on it on June 2015. I did this early because it was convenient as I had the car in the shop for other issues. Yesterday the Oil change light came on . This is definitely wrong. I was wondering whether I should just reset the warning light or bring the car to the shop in case there is a sensor problem . Advise?
  4. Brought car back to dealer. Technician fixed it. He told me that the s/w is such that after a reset or any interruption of LV battery supply , the clock display on the center console can only be set after resetting the date . So sequence is set date , then time.
  5. I had the car software updated and the left turn signal light replaced since its in warranty . Now after power interruption the clock display in the center console cannot be set. The small clock just under the" leaves display" is OK . Is this a common problem once the battery power is interrupted ? This happened to me before when they replaced my LV battery .
  6. Here's the video : http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2013_Ford_C-Max_Hybrid_SEL_2.0L_4_Cyl./lights/turn_signal_front There are several but this is closest I find.
  7. The car is barely 10 months old and the driver side front turn signal light suddenly quit .( fast flashing of indicator) I watched the video of how to replace the bulb and I have to remove the complete Lamp assembly to do it. Reassembling seems more of a challenge since it a blind assembly ( can't see the bottom catch and the power plug has to to reinserted by feel. I wonder whether replacing the bulb is covered in the warranty . BTW I also had the LV battery replaced one month ago....battery was completely discharged over night .
  8. Sync does not seem too attractive to me. It looks like I can access most of the features I want with it without registration. I have a Garmin 3590MLMT GPS so there is no need for built in navigation system . My music is not in the cellphone itself. I simply copy the music folders from my wife's selection from her Sansa Clip to a USB and I add my own folders . The C-Max Audio system plays music from the USB reasonably well ( Just std Audio not Premium audio) . Unfortunately it wont play FLAC files so I need to convert to mp3 . I have not tried the voice commands with USB I should try for fun. Could be really cool . I need to remember some basic commands though . Does registration cost $60 right from the start since I only have the base SE model. Thanks
  9. As new owners of C-Max SE, we are a bit confused about Sync and its usefulness to us. We seldom use the cell phone in the car . When we do , the passenger will answer or make calls . So voice cell phone commands are of little use to us. .It might be interesting just to try out some of the functions so , do we have to register to access say maintenance panel ? Which website ? I assume its free for three years ? Thanks
  10. I will use the USB . Too bad the system wont play FLAC . Foobar2000 is quite a fast converter. I used the standard 320kb/s CBR . Good enough for the C-max Standard Audio system.
  11. I understand that it's SYNC with MYFORD since mine is Basic Model + I have not tried to sync via cell phone. I think the problem with Sansa clip is that there is no way to input the pairing code with the transmitter. It expects to be auto paired via A2DP . I used the USB approach with the Sansa but it finds only the music folders that's in the Sansa memory but not the ext. memory where my music is stored. Maybe I am wrong . I will try again. Yes I know I can use the LINE in function . That should work for sure and independent of music format. Finally I just transferred her files to a USB stick and that works very well. I suppose the Ford Audio Decoder will only work for mp3 files ? Will it work with FLAC files ? Anyway I can easily convert FLAC to mp3 using Foobar2000. BTW do I have to register anything with SYNC ? I don't need their extra services. Thanks
  12. Hello everyone. I just purchased a C-MAX SE for the wife to replace a 2007 Mazda 3 . We have had it for a week and so far she's very happy with it. Great mileage and very surprised how quiet it is. Drives well too. She has a Sansa Clip Zip that she would like to use via the Bluetooth link. Since the Sansa Clip does not have Bluetooth , I have a Bluetooth transmitter ( Taotronics) that I can attach to the player. How do I pair this to the C-Max Audio System? ( Standard ) I cant seem to find the Bluetooth pairing function . Thanks
