  1. Hi Folks! I have a rather unique problem I need help with. I have a new 2013 C-Max SEL I bought in late March with 5500 miles or so. Yesterday and today I had the following problems start. 1. Both the touchscreen display and dash display will not change the station numbers on their screens on AM or FM and sometimes on Sirius. I can change the station by voice command or using the control, the screen will not post the changing frequencies. AM is stuck on 1070, and FM is stuck on 98.1. It seems like the screen is frozen. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  2. Just a final update.... THE BANK IS NOW THE PROUD OWNER OF A BRAND NEW 2013 C-Max SEL I get to drive with the 302A or 303A options package. It was a 150 mile trip home, but it is a marvelous machine. I've never been in anything so quiet, and the bells and whistles are great beyond belief. Thanks for your advice, the SE is no comparaison and I didn't pay much more for it than a 2014 SE I was looking at. I have a lot to learn about driving it efficiently since i do a lot of highway driving, but I will have fun learning. Thanks again, and if you have any recoomendations for beginners and/general threads for information onthe car, please share.
  3. Just to update, I am close to pulling the trigger on an SEL, I have at least two options to choose from. the brand new 2013 is what I want but $$$ is an issue, it is the 203 package, a;most too many options. I will let you know what I am fortunate to purchase if I can do it.
  4. What a great forum! I am looking seriously into buying a C-Max, it seems to be a perfect car/mini suv that I need. While I wish the highway MPG would be better, I hope to purchase a car ASAP. However, I am stuck: I can get my hands on a new 2014 SE, as base a base SE can be. For about the same $$$ I can find a used 2013 SEL with power, leather seats and Sync. The new C-Max comes with a full manufacture warranty of course, but since I am a tall individual with others who will be using the back seat, a power seat is better. The base SE audio is meh, and it looks clearl that you cannot upgrade it. The used C-Max SEL has the power and leather seats, and a real sync system, and maybe a few more bells and whistles the '14 doesn't have. The problem is of course the normal warranty is about done, what kind of condition is the battery in, is an extendend warranty needed, and a few other minor issues. The safe roll of the dice is to get the new SE and ignore the 'extras'. But if I am going to own this for 10-12 years comfort does matter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I can;t wait to get my hands on one of these things. Thank you!
