Checking MFT version from the car
Laurel replied to spkehl's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Thanks. We still have 3.1.3. No upgrades done. Everything is working great though. Kinda hate the thought of taking it in to do the updates in October for fear that things won't be perfect anymore. -
Checking MFT version from the car
Laurel replied to spkehl's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Why is that? Didn't many people get the 3.5.1 upgrade before the PCM update became available? I am confused. We haven't done any updates yet--waiting for our October servicing. -
Nick sending Happy Birthday wishes to Grouper. I think he may be the best looking C-Max on the forum, and one of the best behaved.

What's in your C-Max today?
Laurel replied to C-MaxSea's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
Nick what is in Kingston? I tried googling a bit to find out, but didn't come up with much. We are always looking for funky day trips or even over night ones. Our townhouse neighbours just left for a week at Fidalgo Bay. I hadn't even heard of it, but they take their big city bus sized RV down there each year at this time to meet friends. I was surprised to see it looks very pretty and is only an hour and a half from our place. -
mtb9153 we have the SEL 303 and I think ours has always done exactly what yours does. I've never worried about it. We haven't gone in for any MFT or power train updates yet and bought in November.

Myrtle Beach looks so pretty. You're lucky to live there. -
Rear window washer spray question
Laurel replied to GSMacLean's topic in Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls
GSMacLean ours works the same as yours, but it seems to clean the window adequately so probably designed that way. -
My first day at work in the C-max----Long post.
Laurel replied to slampro's topic in Lounge: Off-Topic
Slampro I enjoyed reading about your first day. Smoke away lad. It is your car. I get tired of political correct weighing of words before we say anything. -
What is wrong with people? So sorry that someone did this to your new car. I remember scraping a car in a parking lot with my big pickup. I left a note apologizing profusely with my home number and name. When they phoned that evening, I could tell they were expecting that they had been given a bogus phone number and were shocked when I made a full confession. You wouldn't have to apply any torture technique with me. I took full blame and even cried as they had a baby seat in the car and I felt so badly.LOL

I bet your dealership will gasp when you tell them about the dead battery. Thanks for the update.

When we first got our C-Max, I was out on the road more than I was home--any opportunity and I took her for a spin. Have fun!

How did it feel driving home? Did you think it was worth the wait? Beautiful looking car!

Some jerk hit our car in a parking lot!
Laurel replied to CarpeNivem's topic in Body Panels, Trim, etc.
Jeff I'm so sorry to read this. It almost makes a person want to install a hidden camera on the car for incidents like this -
Congratulations!! Waiting for the first picture.

Great pictures. Doing some landscaping? -
Welcome Fran. I like that you posted a picture of you and of your trailer hitch. You look like a Fran--nice, friendly, wholesome, good looking in that All American way LOL. (I'm famous for outlandish first impression pronouncements). I would love to see a picture of your trailer if you have one available to post. One thing I miss about not having my old Chevy pickup truck is that I can't really load up lots of crap to take to the dump. Lots would fit in I'm sure, but I don't really want dump stuff in my C-Max. Maybe one day you will bump into Valkraider who lives in Portland and has gotten a broken heart over his C-Max Energi.

Oh dear. I was hoping this would never happen to you again. Was the water that you drove through quite deep, or just run of the mill heavy rain wash up? Good luck.

We saw our second one in 9 months of ownership yesterday and it was steel grey. Lots and lots of Prius' here too--everywhere we turn a Prius. The grey C-Max was going so fast it was just a blur as it went by LOL. So didn't have a chance to even wave.

$550 goodwill payment, relabeling of mpg, and changes coming for 2014
Laurel replied to nemonik's topic in General Discussion
It would make financial sense for Ford to do the credit card thing based on mileage. I have had my C-Max almost 9 months and only have 6,000 kilometers (3600 miles) on it. They wouldn't owe me much. There probably aren't too many like me but who knows? -

The world would be a better place with more sensible sounding guys like you METROMAN. I would elect you foreman of any jury I was on. -
Slampro I do remember getting frustrated too when I phoned the dealership when my disappeared from the train. Dealer said they had no idea where it was, but the next morning they phoned to say it was at the dealership and it looked beautiful. Heaven knows how they don't know where their cars are, but that seemed to be the case here. Maybe they don't have anything to do with the process at all? It is all arranged for them from the factory??
