  1. I was there with the 2003-04 Mach 1 Group. I have a 2003 Mach 1 (Yellow). If thats your car in the profile, I think I saw it. This yours attached? I had a '72 Pinto Wagon.

  3. what type of charger (Amp Rating?) are you using? the smaller ones are only 1-2 amps or less, if the battery is really low, it could take many hours to get it up to a nominal voltage for the car to turn on. some of the interior lights may work, since LED's don't require much energy to come on, but other accessories or the relay to turn on the HV battery to start the car may not work until you reach a certain charge voltage. A fully charged battery should have 12.7-13.2 volts. it will charge higher than that usually 13.5-14.5 volts. if the battery has been discharged below a certain amount, it could get damaged internally or have a bad cell, and it will never hold a good charge or even charge up. Dealership had replaced mine when I bought the car last Aug, its a 2013 and never had a battery problem. (yet).
  4. same here. I put new summer rims with the stock michelins on mine, and also got them from TireRack, with the TPMS sensors installed, didn't have to do anything for the monitors. never threw a code or anything.

    Seriously, FAREWELL

Me too. usually don't have any problems. haven't used IE in a long time.
  6. Saw someone from TX towing a CMax thru western NY on I-86 last week around the Olean, NY exits. We were out cleaning the Hiway for Earth Day. Saw you go by if it was anyone on here.

    1000+ mile trip

thx all!! I'll figure it out. I;m still happy with the mileage, i know I can go a few more PSI in the tires and prolly watch my cruising, etc...and get a few more MPG if I really try. I usually just leave it in ECO cruise. Also went to aftermarket rims with stock tires, slightly lighter then factory I think. No long distance plans yet, so just back and forth to work, which I can avg. about 40-44 mpg on a good day. :)

    1000+ mile trip

yup, was pretty breezy on the way back. sounds about right. We are about 1800 ft approx. it peaks over in Andover at 2300 ft. I think on I-86 Still happy with the mileage tho! I don't have the Forscan, just the ScanGauge II
  9. Just did a trip to Cape Cod and back (560 miles one way). Filled up in Mystic, CT to the end of Cape Cod (Provincetown) and driving all around the cape for 5 days and headed back. Filled up at the bottom of the cape and was 44.5mpg leaving the cape (Said 607 miles to empty) , didn't quite get that on that tank. it's nice and flat on the Cape and small rolling hills it does well on EV. most of the time it was 40-50MPG for the short trips here and there around the Cape. very happy. However, only got 38.6 mpg just before getting home and filling up, more hills had about 400# extra weight in the car. 0W20 Oil 46 PSI in tires Grille covers bottom and middle on the whole time. (231 Water temp was highest, but i believe louvers open and it drops to 221 approx, highest tranny temp was 173.) outside temps about 50-60F
  10. Ours is about $25-26 for the 5 qt jug at the local Walmart here too.
  11. Thanks! figured it would take a little bit. Long trip planned in a few weeks, should put some miles on them.!
  12. i put my stock Michilens on new rims and reversed them from stock and swapped from front to back. OMG, they are noisy at low speeds. i need to get the alignment checked. I prolly have about 7/32 left after 30K miles runn about 46psi. I've put 10K on the car since last Aug. when I bought it.
  13. i have the drone/woo sounds right at 2350-2450 RPM on the scan gauge usually just under load like going up an on ramp or something if I keep it steady at that RPM. Usually don't notice it much with the radio on. lol
  14. mine doesn't pull at all on re-gen braking. Bad strut, hanging caliper, rusty rotors, low tire pressure, could be anything with that side that is pulling.

Nice. i had been looking at Focus rims. I found some white Sparco ones for mine.
  16. From the album: 2013 Cmax

New 17" Sparco Assetto Gara white rims with stock Michelin tires.
  17. should be some spare taps in the fuse box under the hood or in the foot well that turn off with the ignition.
  18. what was the final outcome? what caused the car not to run? did find the exact problem?
  19. I do have the 2x8 homemade stepped ramps, wasn't sure how easy it was with the pan under it. maybe I'll try it next oil change. :) thx. build them like these http://www.pbase.com/shhe/image/106974364/original.jpg I had the good metal ramps, and when I pulled my truck up on them, and stopped, one dug into the ground and decided to collapse. oops. the metal ones were too steep for the lower cars anyway.
  20. I had the dealer do my first oil change since I bought it last Aug. a bit over 10K miles and the light came one. wasn't sure how hard to remove the belly pan and how high i needed to get the car to access everything since they sit so low.
  21. FIrst oil change since I bought it back in Aug. My oil change light just came on at 10K miles, using Ford Full Synthetic 0W20.
  22. could be the touch sensor on the doors or something. I've noticed the doors locks sometimes when I'm washing the car and hit the door handle sensor with water while holding the nozzle with my key in my pocket.
  23. have Michelin snows on right now, but running 45psi in them, my summer stocker michelins I run 45-50psi. I just went on a trip to Pittsburgh and back. MPG low was 38.5 in the rain fighting a head wind and high was 41.2mpg coming back and about 40 degs and running middle grille cover.

    grille covers

    From the album: 2013 Cmax

Grille Covers.Velcro the top on and zip tied the bottom one. typical temps run 200-220 or so depending on outside temps.
  25. that seems a bit low. Mine as dropped some because of winter, snow tires, winter blend fuel, i;m still avg. 32-40mpg depending. also, allowing it to warm up for extended periods will also decrease the mpg's. You lower speeds and short distances, should get you mostly battery trips. I have the lower and middle grille covered and the engine temps will run 200 or less when it's 30 or less outside depending. I did a 150 mile trip with temps 45-55 and it only got to 225 and avg. around 220 or so. I avg. 38 going out and 42 mpg coming back. more down hills. Do you have your heater turned way up? i keep mine about 65-66 in the car, that will effect the EV modes on down hills and coasting. There's a lot of good threads on here for improved mileage especially in winter . http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/5511-how-to-improve-winter-mpgs/
