  1. I was wondering why no one is doing a Hybrid Pickup truck. :)
  2. Haven't seen the Red X for the GPS or any errors codes. The maps all follow the car, just sometimes it's 200-500' off and shows driving on other roads parallel or a little behind on the highway at the off ramps, etc.... PM Sent. Thanks!! I still show these 2 recalls on my MyFord Page for my car. I thought they did all the updates/recalls when I bought the car back in Aug. VIN:FSA Title: 12 VOLT BATTERY TEST AND MODULE SOFTWARE UPDATEField Service Action Number: 15B04 VIN:FSA Title: SYNC WITH MYFORD/MYLINCOLN TOUCH - WARRANTY EXTENSION COVERING ACCESSORY PROTOCOL INTERFACE MODULE (APIM)Field Service Action Number: 12M02
  3. Ok, thanks. I'll keep an eye on it. just started today. I don;t what version it has in it . The Sim Card just says A4. I got on MyFord/mysync and says the it has the latest updates as of March 2014 Ver. 3.6.2 ?
  4. Resurrecting this thread, are the issues fixed with updated? Mine is 2013 and supposedly had all the updates done (not sure the SIM GPS Card or any NAV updates?) or anything else, My GPS has been dead on since I got the car in Aug and put almost 7000 miles on it. We have taken quite a few trips with it and it's been very accurate. NOW, just tonight it started being about 200-400' off, it was saying I was on a parallel road when I was on the hiway next to it? SOmething just started happening, I haven't done anything else to the car.
  5. These should give me some good winter traction. Michelin Xice x3 215/55/R17 on the stock rims. Ordered thru TireRack.
  6. From the album: 2013 Cmax

Winter Tires Michelin XIce X3 Green X rated. Size 215/55/R17
  7. The Engeri would have an higher rear cargo floor area, and would leave a step in the cargo area Mine is the standard Hybrid, it's exactly 5 feet from the back of the console to the back edge of the cargo floor. it does lay pretty flat with the back seats folded down.
  8. From the album: 2013 Cmax

Rear Cargo Area 5 Foot from back of console to Rear edge.
  9. THere's quite a few direct fit ones from Cmax's on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-2016-Ford-C-MAX-CMAX-HYBRID-Wagon-Cargo-Cover-Security-OEM-/381471414800?hash=item58d177da10:g:UL8AAOSwkZhWTkUx&vxp=mtr

    2013 Rear Windows tint

    From the album: 2013 Cmax

Here's a better shot of the rear windows tinted. I did the back ones and rear hatch with 15% tint, so it lets 85% light thru. looks darker than it is from the outside, but can't even tell from the inside.
  11. I haul a lot of stuff and we travel a lot, so the extra trunk space of the Standard Hybrid works better for us. you loose a little trunk space with the larger battery of the Engergi.

    Scan Gauge II

    From the album: 2013 Cmax

Scan Gauge II showing Instant MPG (LOL on EV), EV State of charge (SoC), Tranny Fluid Temp (TFT) and Water Temp (WT). Thanks. Paul for the codes for the SoC and TFT. :)
  13. Would the 15" rims clear the calipers? might depend on how the rim is made. I Just got my Michelin Xice 3 snow tires today from TireRack. Went with 215/55/R17 which were almost $30/ea cheaper than the stock size of 225/50/R17. They were least expensive and in stock. only about 3/8" difference in size. I Will get them mounted this weekend, hopefully. I'll run the snows on the stock rims and put the stock tires on New rims for the summer .
  14. Glad you guys are are ok. I don;t think anything really helps to deter them. Most of the time they are running and don't care and usually get hit. I';ve seen them standing right up next to the road and flash and beep horn and they don't even flinch. We have a lot here in Western NY too. every morning is an obstacle course on the hiway, there's usually at least 1 or 2 hit laying on the shoulders and/or in various places on the road. it's hunting season here (bow) and they are moving all over the place. I hit one years ago, and have come close a few times, saw one get hit right in front of us, we stopped to help the driver, no injuries, but the small SUV wasn't going anywhere, front end completely smashed, fluids leaking, air bags went off. One of our trips somewhere, they had high fences and an opening in one area for them to cross with motion sensors and strobe lights or blue warning lights to warn you there may be deer present and/or crossing the road. interesting concept.
  15. I;'ve noticed the HV battery dropping on occasion at work after being parked, it would be 1/3-1/2 full when I park it and it would at very lower end when I leave and the ICE starts right away to charge. other times, it stays charged where I left it. We had snow last night, but supposed to be in the 60's up here this week. go figure!
  16. Yes, the jumping of the vehicle i believe in the manual (pg 260) states to use the (+) post under the hood and the (-) neg post near it that hooks to the frame. There are connections in the trunk for the battery that you can find for both the + and - directly to the battery. The negative post is hidden under the cover for the high voltage batteries, hard to get to without taking it off, but it does have some frame ground screws readily accessable next to the battery.
  17. Finally got over the 500 mile mark coming back from Nashville! I prolly could have pushed it to 600, but not enough gas stations on the last leg and at least .20-.30 cents cheaper per gallon in PA than NY for gas! lol

Finally got over 500 miles! on our trip back from Nashville.
  19. You have to make sure your lug wrench/socket is the proper size, metric or imperial, i can't remember which on these have, but one fits much tighter on the lug nuts. Also, make sure they are not over torqued, 85-100 ft/lbs is plenty. sometimes the dealerships just use the air impact set kinda high and you can't get them back off easily. My rear ones were really tight and the fronts were very easy to get off.
  20. the one hitch i put one my other vehicle, pretty much the same. you tie a piece of string on the threads of the bolt and put it thru the hole in the plate push all up thru the frame and slowly pull the string down thru the plate and the hole and it lines up perfectly, no loosing the bolt in the frame rail. :)
  21. I noticed my 2013 SEL does it sometimes depending on the terrain, turning, etc.., usually have the radio on and so I dont' notice it. I'll keep an ear on it and use some silicone.
  22. thats normal. the way they fold into the middle, you can't go any longer on the pass. side, otherwise they would hit each other.
  23. Strange on the phone. We have a 4 and 4S and no problem charging from the USB port, it always wants to play the music from the phone when it's plugged in tho. I would think the cable, did you try the cable with a cigarette lighter or 110v plug from back of the console?
  24. I bought a used 2013 with 20K miles, they did all the updates for the TSB's, and anything that needed updating in the car, it took over 3 hrs for them to update everything. They also put a brand new battery in it too. So far, after a month and 3000 miles, no problems. :)
