1. It isn't you, read the topic of this thread. You did everything correct except for believing Ford could write code....
2. I am moderately happy you aren't having problems. I definitely am. Previous comments are legit in the sense that the "too bad" approach only applies if the goods aren't advertised to do something that they can't. Ford said it would work so it should work, for everyone.
3. Very well said. I agree that "Detroit" needs to come up with new stuff. I firmly believe that there is an intrinsic responsibility to make the things work that they imagine BEFORE launch. I wonder how bad it was before they approved it?
4. So, I obviously have a big problem with the max. I have contacted Ford and have a case number and all that stuff so I am not so much looking for an answer rather than sharing my experience. For starters, MPG. I would cautiously state that everyone needs to relax about the low MPG. The break in period of the car and what appears to be a glorious misunderstanding of mean, median, and mode are responsible for this. Even though I am getting about 35 MPG at the 5,000 ish mile mark, I expect warmer weather and more break in to cross the gap. Oh sure, I have more problems; rear kick to open the hatch thingy is intermittent, GPS is lost, the gain on the speaker phone mic is way too high, and sync. Sync is the one problem that is so significant that this will be my last Ford purchase. Take a look at the video..... It isn't 1993 and we should have this radio thing to the iPhone 5 thing figured out BEFORE we launch a car. After talking with Ford they actually admit that the iPhone is more powerful than their Sync system and the Sync doesn't know how to act. While I applaud Ford for trying to take care of, we'll, everything, I think they fell short. All I want is what what's advertised. Not to wildly ridiculous when all I want is to; make a call, have a text read to me, and listen to the radio. My C Max experience has failed me at all three. Now I know some of will have diarrhea of the blog and star screaming how its Apple's fault and even pepper that with some Steve Jobs versus Bill Gates conspiracy theories. I get it. But, Ford claimed that it would work, not Apple. Ford admits the iPhone is more powerful than Sync so I will let them figure that out. I love my dealership and they have tried everything they can but my mechanic isn't a software programer nor do I want him to be. Ford promises a fix is coming but..... Thoughts? http://youtu.be/CdrQPKcN0Ms
5. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="Fits2at" data-cid="7595" data-time="1359387606">
One of these days we will be able to program a destination into the Nav system and the car will drive us there. I swear somewhere this is most likely in the works! I mean those of you in my age group (early 40's) will remember what a big deal the coming of the year 2000 was. We were told that after that we would have vacuum cleaners that would run themselves at the push of a button. How far fetched that seemed at the time but look at the options we have for self running vacuum cleaners now! Self operating cars won't be far behind!!!

I love the C Max but... I would never buy a car that did that! My sync crashed the second day I had it. Adds a new meaning to the term "crash". Waka waka....
6. Not a fan of you using a lower case "a". I am a fan of this movie though. Have you seen it? http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0187393/
7. Hey, yea so this is a C Max forum. So I thinks it's awesome that some country other than America has smartphones. But your reference is as about as impressive as citing smartphone sales in Montana (about as many people live in that other place/who cares). It's a C Max hybrid Forum!
8. "They" posess deplorable math reasoning. Duh. I love you.
9. Nice try.... Unfortunately you are myopically quoting a source that is looking at 4Q 11 and 12 sales of Apple and Samsung. High end smartphones versus free ones. Apple makes one type of phone, Samsung make many more. Additionally, Apple has a substantial market share that predates Samsung by six years. There are previous versions of the IPhone 5..... At least you agree that sync is bad......
10. Um, no. This is titled to refer to those that refer to the "evil Ford lie" of 47 MPG and the horrible math they use. Therefore the possessive adjective form is appropriate. In this case you are incorrect. I do appreciate sharing the knowledge though even if you missed the altruistic intent. Additionally, the iPhone has the most market penetration, hold on a sec.....
11. Please. The only thing wrong with this car is Microsoft sync. I take no pleasure in saying this but I am afraid that some of you are way better at giving opinions than understanding the measures of central tendencies. Google it. This vehicle is an epic leap forward for Ford (less sync) and sips gas. Post break in it will blast by 47 MPG. Again, learn what "average" means and how to apply the term over time- if you dare. Unfortunately, most are confusing (or don't understand) mean, median, and mode versus vehicle life time average MPG during higher consumption periods like driver learning curve and vehicle break in. Lets face it, Prior to a few months ago how many of us have been driving a hybrid C MAX for 7 years/100,000 miles and actually KNOW what we are talking about? Kinda Fords fault as well I guess. Did I mention sync is horrible? FAVs I am a huge fan of the kick under the bumper open the power hatch thing. It's just cool. Ford also hit a home run with the interior space, it feels like a palatial penthouse suite. NOT FAVs Sync is so 1999, it's horrible. If you know who Siri is you will laugh at how far short sync falls from the mark. If your like most of America and own an iPhone you will not enjoy every feature sync has to offer because of compatibility issues (text to speech) but thankfully sync does it so bad you aren't missing out on much. anyway. As always share your thoughts!
