  1. http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/01/06/ford-shows-off-its-android-auto-implementation-on-the-sync-3-platform/ I wish there was a way to get these on ours...will a 2016 C-Max head unit fit our older models?
  2. Unfortunately I am stuck with Apple (I made the switch from Android and I'm DYING to get back) so it would be beneficial.
  3. I went to my local Ford dealership today in an attempt to have the upgrade completed for my 2013 C-Max with ~55K miles (Per the Ford IVT Team's recommendation) and they stated that the extended MFT warranty only covers the APIM (Accessory Interface Protocol Module) and I'd have to front $140 to have the upgrade completed...Needless to say I didn't get it done. Ford IVT team has been PMed, hopefully they can shed some light on this. Doesn't look like good news though.
  4. Reviving this thread...I just checked Tirerack's Winter tire "preferred package"for the 2013 C-Max SEL and they were 215/65/15 size tires. Using the kouki.co.uk link, that was only a 0.6% in speed than the stock wheels. Doesn't look like anyone here considered the 15" wheels, they're certainly cheaper. Now I'm just wondering whether they will clear the brakes.
  5. OP here, I found my car! Best part is I paid all of $3 less than the price which was quoted to me over email...I was simply amazed at their integrity throughout the whole process (after my previous dealer experience). As a super sweet bonus, they were also able to beat my current insurance payments by over $100/month all while keeping/beating the same coverage I had...(They had an Allstate office inside the dealership). The only thing, and it's a tiny one, that could've set me off was how hard they tried pushing their aftermarket warranty. After turning them down on that they accepted that I was there to buy the car and only the car so they didn't offer me any other packages. My guess is that's how they make the majority of their profit. KBB suggested retail price was $15,300 and I got out the door for $14,375 for everything (tag/titles, taxes, doc fees, state inspection, etc) for a car in excellent condition. The car is loaded with everything except the panorama roof so you can consider me a happy guy. Autocheck indicated no accidents, dealer serviced only, private owner (not a rental) and oh yeah, brand new tires just thrown on. For anyone looking at another car in the DMV area be sure to check out Fitzgerald Hyundai/Subaru. No absurd freight fees or "prep" fees, just quality service that you usually don't get from a dealer.
  6. I'd rather have someone else take the majority of the devaluation for me haha. What kind of deal can you get with the rebate (and what rebate are we talking about?)?
  7. That's funny because I live north of B-more (Towson) and drove to Manassas, VA for the "deal". I guess it isn't a one way thing. Cargurus is how I found the car actually, I prefer it over Autotrader, cars.com or carfax as the interface is straightforward and easy to understand.
  8. Drove over 2 hours to go to the dealer after having them tell me in writing that that they will meet my price and all I need to do is sign...turns out that was just to get me in the door so they can play dumb about the deal. Turns out the cliche car salesman techniques aren't only a thing of TV and movies. Oh well, I will continue searching for my 2013 C-max SEL, I know it is out there somewhere!
  9. The condensation was only noticeable underneath the trunk mat, it did not appear as if it leaked down through it. As the pictures show the condensation was focused around that funnel hole and not the recess next to it (which is where I imagine the water would be more likely to pool up).
  10. That's better than I thought it would be...thanks It seems like condensation came out of the funnel hole in the lower left corner. Was it potentially overfilled? I guess first thing I should do is find out what that funnel hole is even for.
  11. Thanks for the advice, what is the usual battery warranty period for the C-max? The dealer mentioned that it is 80K Miles but now I don't trust a word they told me.
  12. First post here, my wife and I checked out a used C-Max SEL today with about 36,000 Miles on it and when I was checking the rear battery compartment I noticed a very fair amount of condensation in the plastic bin, delamination occurring on the carpet cover and even surface rust on the bare metal behind the plastic battery compartment. The dealer (Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler) had no idea what caused it. Was I right to walk away from this or is this a normal occurrence? I've attached pictures to provide a better idea. If it isn't a big deal then I will call and jump on the car as it was a great deal! Let me know what you guys think, thanks.
