  1. I bought a 2015 c-max a couple of months ago as a primary vehicle and toad for my motorhome. I'm using a Blue Ox base plate / tow bar and also installed a toad charger. After over 48 hours of towing both highway and city, I can report no problems - no starting problems, no wobble, or any other problems for that matter. The longest single day tow was 9 hours straight and the car started without hesitation. I'll admit I was apprehensive about towing a c-max after reading some negative posts about this car as a toad but I can honestly say that it's a keeper for everyday use and towing behind my motorhome.
  2. Hello to all. The wife and I just bought a new 2015 C-Max SEL hybrid. We'll be using it as our primary vehicle but also as a toad behind our motorhome. As a primary vehicle, we love it so far. It's a good looking car and a pleasure to drive. As a toad, we have our fingers crossed after reading a long thread on this forum about towing four wheels down. I'm having a Blue Ox base plate and battery charger installed in a few days - after reading that thread, it's clear that a charger is a must for these cars. My brake control is a RVI BRAKE 2. I'm confident that the battery charger will eliminate the dead battery issue and I'm also confident that my brake control will work well. However, I am concerned about the steering wobble that a few people on this forum have experienced. If I experience that wobble, it will be a deal breaker for using the C-MAX as a toad. Like I said, we have our fingers crossed. Andy & Carole Gulf Coast Central Florida
