  1. Wow 300k that’s great. Have you had the transmission replaced under warranty? I’ve only got 75k on my 2016 SEL Hybrid. Only issue is the backup Camera started flaking out, need to get that fixed.
  2. This is great information. I’ve been considering something like this as a backup for my small power wall at home. I would use something like a Victron Orion DC-DC charger to charge my 24V system with the C-Max 12V. I’m assuming the Hybrid and Energi have the same DC-DC converter, anyone able to confirm?
  3. My 2016 SEL has 62,300 miles on it, currently up to 48.6 MPG, i was about to cross 48.8 before winter hit and just went down to 48.6 the other week. I'm hoping to get 49 by next fall. I would be higher, but i have lots of spirited driving, and i like to have some heat. My Dad just traded in his 2016 SE for 2022 FEH Plugin. I'm going to keep my C-MAX at least till 100k, then maybe I'll go full EV (Tesla or Rivian)
  4. Hot Dog, i forgot about this site for a bit. My lifetime is at 48.6. I'm hoping to get it up to 48.8 this year.
  5. Its only happened when cold.
  6. That is Exciting information (some what sarcastic). On a serious note, thank you for it. IT seems to only happen when the outside temperate is at or around 32F. I'll see if it has any pending codes next time. I'm tempted to see if i can hook up multiple Scan gauges, so i could have one showing my TPMS, and one showing Temperatures. It looks like you can connect a second one (daisy chain) but I've never tried.
  7. So unfortunately I've been having to park outside the garage for a while, and I've noticed some odd behavior with the ScanGauge. Not sure if its the SG or the car, but when its about 32F or less (and the ICE has to start) the TFT will show 849-850F for a few seconds, then switch to a realistic number, and then back again a few times. No CEL or anything. Mostly just wanting to report to see if anyone else have seen this. Picture was after a minute of running, WT was up to 69F(nice) from 32F at startup.
  8. My AVG MPG hit 48.2 before I went on my trip. Family and I went to Disney World (1,600 miles round trip) and drove her car (19 Chevy Traverse) no way we would all fit in mine and averaged about 25 MPG doing 80 MPH on the interstate.
  9. Went up to 48.1 today after today’s trip to customer site. It’s Northern VA so I don’t always have the ability to get to 100%, people here are jerks.
  10. I'm still at 48.0MPG on mine, been really hot lately here and I don't handle the heat well so i always keep my car at 73, so i've had a lot of trips where the Trip MPG wasn't too cool (pun intended) Still typically getting 52-55MPG in the morning to the office, but other shorter trips and afternoon is where i get 48MPG, or less some times. Going to get my car tinted soon.
  11. Nice. This makes me want to get my self a small trailer.
  12. I calculated 53.2MPG at the pump last fill up, i don't remember the miles on the tank, but the Miles to E went up to 689, which i think it the higest i've seen it on mine. Think that is the highest i've seen it at the pump I'm planning to get mine tinted soon.
  13. Agreed. I just hope they truly have it fixed (at least for my 2016)
  14. Is the 2017 have the new 3rd gen trans? or was that in 2018? I have 36k, so i hope mine doesn't go (2016)
  15. Thank you for the photos, love seeing these. I'm sure Ford knows whats going on, thats why they redesigned it. SnowStorm, was this the original tranny or was it replaced?
  16. I've had a couple Panic Stops my self and the car does fantastic. I've got 36,900 Miles on mine now, and the dealer just marked mine into the Yellow category this time (free oil changes and rotations, only reason i go) but they look like more then 50% tread left. I also took a Trip up to PA again, Going through the mountains on the highway and i was able to get my best yet of 44.9 MPG. After i got back my AVGMPG went down to 47.7, but after 3 days of going to work getting 56+MPG, it went back up to 47.8. Hope to get to 48MPG soon.
  17. 35,900 on my 2016. It turned 3 years old last month (According to the date on the door)
  18. Not necessarily, The farms around me use the 'mash' from the baking process to feed their animals. (don't know the specifics) The Articale you mentioned was using a Chevy Avalanche, which being a 5.3L V8 will see a greater drop in fuel efficiency. The 10% i mentioned was from personal experience. We have rented a Dodge Minivan (for work) that was labeled as 'flex fuel' that utilized their 3.3L V6. Typically they observe 25~MPG on this trip. When i took the trip my self, i experienced the same in the past. The last time i went, i made a point to stop and get E85 at at sheetz gas station on the way out, and on the way back in. Regular E10 was 2.49, E15 was 2.44, E50 was 2.32, and E85 was 2.24. We only had about 80 Miles to E, and filled an entire tank with E85. On this trip i observed 22.6 MPG. (No i didn't calcuate what the pump said, just followed what the computer said, and i always reset the trip at fillup.) I don't remember the specifics of Climate differences, but either were anything to write home about.
  19. I wouldn't do it for Fuel Economy, it would be for Curiosity and Clean reasons. Vehicles that are designed for E85, (typically the only difference in the fuel system is an Alcohol sensor, but also notice that each manufacture only has 1 or 2 Engines that support it, and thats why it 'has a different fuel system') will receive 10-20% less fuel efficiency, but depending on your area, could be a wash depending on the cost. There was one gas station that sold E85 for about a year and it was 20% less then Regular, If i had a car that was capable, i would have been there evey week ,but since i don't and it was out of the way i didn't go there. There is a community out there that takes 'kits' that you install on the cars that makes them E85 capable. All it does is connect between the Injectors so i can keep them on x% longer to account for the additional fuel. From what i remember, there were several people using it for 100k+ miles without issue. I do believe there is a Lot of Mis-Information and Misunderstanding out there about Ethanol, and that there is a consistency to keep Oil on the road.
  20. I wish i had a place that sold E15-E85 fuel as i want to see how high of a mixture of Ethanol i can use before the car throws code. And compare the fuel economy to cost savings. I've heard that newer cars can typical account for 30-50% without issue, even if they don't "support it". I remember one time my Brother-In-Law had a rental car that didn't support it, put a full tank of E85 and it was missing a bit and had a code, but after using about a 1/4 and adding E10, it was running fine.
  21. Main goal is to only use the ICE for Acceleration and hills, EV rest of the time.
