    SORRY I SENT THIS TO ANOTHER TOPIC YESTERDAY - HOPE THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE

     

     

    I need a few hints for my beloved 2017 Hybrid.  Have a bunch of misc problems.  More lately.  Helpful information would be very nice.

     

    1.  Blind Spot Mirror (BLIS) - driver's side - since new.  I live with it as it is very accurate for nearby cars.  Problem also indicates for all trees and bushes on the other side of the road.

    Service says they need to take it for 3 days and drive it around.  (I did present them with a video showing the occurance - they weren't interested)

     

    2. Front Parking Aid - This spring the Front Parking Aid quit sounding and at the same time the Front Parking Aid Switch sensor light came on and is always lit.  This I would like fixed.

    This switch is in the line of swtches below the climate control.  (btw, pg 168 owner's manual but it is right of the fuel door opening button).

    3.  Deep sound beeping when we start the car....sometimes.  We can get it to stop by trying some of these.  Not all options work the same time or work at all.  We open and close windows, turn the car off and on, open the driver's door, open the passenger door.  This sounds like one of those problems that will never be able to be duplicated when in the shop.  (I could film another video.)  If anyone identifies what fuse or ? I could pull to stop this beep beep beep, would sure appreciate their sharing their knowledge.

     

    4. Key 5-button fob - replaced battery doesn't send out a signal to the car (and yes, even turned the battery over to see if it worked better - nada)  Local dealer says 3 weeks until an opening and 3 days labor to get the key programmed or replaced.  And, in case this happens again, looks like I need another key made.  Would this be a MYKEY?

     

    12V battery was replaced early February this year

    Same type of odd BLIS blinking in left mirror. Soooo valuable when it is working correctly. Living in the NW, this happens with my 2017 when it rains and when trees are on the other side of the road....Hmm - think maybe it blinks all the time? Yes. Wintering in AZ - no extraneous blinking for months. Have been in the shop 3 times, complained noisily to no avail. Last time they took a day to look thru more thoroughly. Telling me that it is all controlled through wireless signals not wires. Not sure that is true. Don't know how to get a complaint to FORD or is this a safety issue? Since it always blinks when it needs to and many times when it doesn't, probably not a safety issue. Dealer says complaints to FORD will only have FORD send us to another dealer. He also said the module is in the taillight....losing faith.

    Pretty sure we are following the hints you've written. Have added a fuse tap with a 25A fuse on on one of the spares below the passenger dash to plug in the the Brake Buddy system with a 12v adapter. Connected to a ground. Have 12+ volts before plugging anything in,. BrakeBuddy hums. Other checking, we are getting 4.3v (including with a 12v extension cord). No clue. The fuse tap is from PICO, we've found out now that it is made for 10amp but is all we find at NAPA. At Amazon we find some taps to 20/25amp. Any clues why we aren't getting a full 12v out of this and what we need to do differently? Thanks for any and all suggestions. Maxie

    At dealership yesterday, service manager says make sure not to program your main key to a MyKey as it cannot be reversed.

    Yup, you were right. Did not know I even had this option but there it is on the sticker. Worked great. The symbol on the fob is a turn clockwise circle symbol with a 2 in the center.....Also by directing me to the remote start, I found it in my 494 page Owner's Manual. Thank you much.

    Attached to each of our new fobs was a white tag approx 1"x1". One side specified Mhz, FCC ID, and IC. With the same stick-on tag that doesn't seem to match anything I know of. On the reverse side are some great hieroglyphics that we haven't been able to figure out. Top line has 4 pix: picture of engine, followed by = sign, then Locked Lock, comma, turn clockwise circle symbol, comma, turn clockwise circle symbol 2nd line - X'ed picture of engine, = sign, turn right circle symbol What does this mean? Know somebody here knows this! New owner and loving it.
