I currently run toyo tires Ultra Z900. So far, traction and handling are good. Low road noise and no hydroplaning.

Mine has no rust also. Applying wax is a good idea to prevent surface rust.

Had the same problem, but the culprit was the motor.

Carrying a sprare tire is a good idea especially during long trips.
