  1. I purchased a 2013 C-Max SEL (303A pkg) this past September with a little over 52,000 miles. I have dealer details of past service that gives me the feeling that the car was well taken care of. Now with colder weather coming to Tenessee the heating unit is blowing warmer air into the cabin and I notice it wasn't switching to the floor vents. It only blows the air through the dash vents. When I raise the heat temperature it still flows only though the dash vents. Switching to manual push button 'floor vents' does nothing. Still blows from the dash vents. I took it to my trusted Ford service dealer of 4 years for their advise and they tell me it is a 10 hour job to get into the dash and replace the housing unit. If I understood them completely the housing unit has all the air flow valves and is very complex and needs to be replaced. The cost is quoted at $1,663.72. 10 hours x $95/hr. labor and I assume the balance is the cost of the housing. Does anyone have some advise for me to consider before I invest this amount of money? My wife thinks an extra pair of socks may work. Me, not so much.... Rick Hero

  3. Nothing from the Nashville area....
  4. My update is complete and I ran 70+ on EV. Can't tell any different yet other than the higher EV mode. I reset my mpg monitor and will see what happens. I'm averaging around 44/45 mpg in the city and 38/39 mpg at speeds around 65/70. My life time is 40.5 mpg and wasn't reset. They had to order the headliner stuff and will contact me when ready. Rick
  5. Our subscription runs out on 8/4/13. I called today and talked with John (yeah right, another country for sure) we went though all the high dollar offers, the last one coming down to $92 annual. I told him that was more than I wanted to pay and did he have any 6 month pricing. He came back with $24.99 for 5 months and I took it. It was $28.11 for 5 months when the smoke cleared. Thanks for the tips everyone. Rick & Valerie
  6. I brought my first car for $200 in 1962. It was my Junior year in high school. The 1941 Plymouth 4 door sedan had a 3 speed on the column and I remember putting a split manifold on the flat head six cylinder engine giving me the opportunity to install dual glass pack mufflers. The picture here is not my actual car but one very much like it. Sweet memories... Rick
  7. I got my 3.5.1 update today. Originally it didn't work properly and my tech took it back in the shop and spend another hour doing whatever. I went home and didn't even get settled at the house when I received a call from my tech telling me it 's working fine now and I could pick it up. He told me my system crashed and they had to reinstall it again. They also told me at the service desk that have only a few C-Maxes come though. Bottom line is I'm very happy with my half day investment and every thing is working fine now. I did refer them to our site.
