I saw your vids. _^^^^^^ I don’t get it. My car won’t be in ev when I start it and take off. It takes awhile. This seems like it needs to be warmed up. And it’s not using much gas when sitting and warming up after you turn it on. Please will someone answer this directly? Shouldn’t you be in ev mode from turning on the car till you go uphil, push hard on gas or go past a certain speed? If not why ? Is hybrid totally different then what I just asked? I have always assumed with hybrid you’re using electric mode unless the above question conditions were met. This seems wrong. I’m confused. Does the battery not have enough power to go past 15 mph when going? I know it can be in electric faster but I don’t understand this it only runs in electric up to 15 mph then switches to gas.

I’ll go to my parents two days in a row. One day the car says total trip 2.9 miles. That’s how far they are. 1.1 mike in ev. Is this good? The next day it says 2.9 miles with 0.3 miles in ev. Why such a huge difference? I drove the same way. I don’t push hard on bags. Break in the 90s usually. I don’t get it. I live in Washington state. Burien. Part of the greater Seattle area. King county.

I have a concern about my car and questions. I'm better with writing then I am talking because I can think more clearly. I've read articles and seen videos about people getting up to about 40 mpg in my car. 2013 C Max Hybrid SEL. Video shows EV on when accelerating and going fast. My concern is that I am not sure my car is working as it should when it comes to EV. Here's why. My car does not say EV very often. I'm not going fast. I'm not pushing hard on the gas. I'm not going up hill. Yet EV does not show most of the time. In the touch screen it has that screen that shows you the car and tells you what is going on with the battery and engine. It will sometimes say I am using electric but the gauge behind the steering wheel does not show EV. Also in that touch screen screen it will say I'm running in gas because I'm accelerating. I don't understand this because even going 15 miles per hr and gently pushing on the gas pedal it should still use electric. What's the point then of having electric when it's only used when stopped fully and sometimes when coasting? Yes that's right. I said sometimes. A lot of the time I coast the gauge behind the steering wheel will not show EV. My understanding is when below a certain speed it's on electric. Unless you're pushing the car hard with hard accelerating or up a big hill. But other then that it should be in electric. I drive 30 mph or less or so and not pushing hard at all on the gas pedal. It should be electric. But more then half the time it's not. I think the gauge behind the steering wheel is not working correctly maybe. Why? Because it doesn't say EV when the touchscreen shows I'm running in electric sometimes. Or the touchscreen is not accurate. And I think something is going on with the car being it's not in EV mode when I think it should be. I know I don't really know much about this technology. I'm ignorant or something. But I do know what I've seen in a video and what I've read about it and of course my own opinion and how I drive. I'm confused big time. I'm trying to drive so I'm in electric ev mode but it seems I can't do anything to do that. It's all over the place. Also sometimes it will not say ev and then I'll take my foot off the gas for a second. Then ev shows. Then I'll push the gas a little and ev stays on for a tiny bit. That seems weird.

I thought there is a way to make it soho I have to push a bit more on the break in any vehicle. There’s got to be a way to do this. Ugh.

I think I got it. On the controls under the touchscreen I hit the button that has a windshield above a person. It came on and got more of the windshield I guess.

Yesterday I just got the 2013 c Max SEL fully upgraded except no rain sensing wipers and no parking help. Is there any reason to reset the touchscreen back to factory default? Should I?

How do I unfog my 2013 c Max windshield? The defrost was on full blast I think and it was loud but not a lot of air hitting the windshield. It only hits the bottom. But eye level is not touched and is foggy. How do I fix this?

I’d this still current? The sync three in say my 2013 c Max I just got? I saw a web site which may be the one three posts above me is talking about. $1500 without nav and extra $600 with nav. Are they trustworthy? They also have an eBay store. I want to do this but I’m not totally comfortable installing it myself. I saw a YouTube video on it and it looks easy enough. But don’t know anything about a gps thing to do something with.

Is there anyway to give the break pedal in my 2013 Ford C Max more resistance? It’s too touchy. Just the slightest touch and I’m jerking to a stop. Like it’s throwing me out of the seatbelt.

^^^^ Thank you so much. That’s a good idea. I bought the car today. I have to have the seat all the way back and then my right leg fits a little better but still to tight for comfort. But it’s a start. Now I have some questions. About EV mode and the info behind the steering wheel. And the sync. Where should I post them? Thank you all so much.

I’m getting it later today. It’s 2:38 am pst. The car is certified and comes with a warranty. I’m going to try to get used to it. Is there anyway to adjust the break? I tried same car and year at another dealer and the break was better. Not as touchy. Why the difference? I would think there’s a way to adjust it. And is it possible at all to move the gas pedal to the left a bit? It’s like behind the center console. It’s right next to the wall and I think the center console even has a slight bow do the gas pedal is behind it a bit. I’m just trying to figure out if there’s any possible way to get my right knee a bit more room. I don’t care about wires or anything. I’d just secure them.

Ok. I decided to purchase the car. I test drove the 2013 Ford C Max SEL. I think it had most or all the upgrades.

I’m just trying desperately to figure this out. I love the car and it’s nearly perfect for me. And with the gas savings that’s huge for me considering I’m on ssi and ssdi and don’t have much money for gas. Right now I have to gas up between 150-180 miles. With the c max that would be twice that or more. I wonder if my right leg needs to get used to the different position. The muscles. And the break. It’s so sensitive. I barely touch it and the car like slams to a stop and you’re jumping forward like out of the seat belt. I need more break resistant to have to push a little harder. But gosh I love the car. I just don’t know what to do.

I don’t need much more space though. Only a few inches. That silver part is enough in how wide it is. The top part.

Then I guess I’ll never be able to get another car. They all have stupid center consoles that box you in.
