  1. I'm surprised I haven't seen this thread before and I know this is so old the link doesn't even work any more, but I want to reply to this misinformation anyway. Rope-type plugs are ABSOLUTELY FINE. They are not temporary repairs, they will last the life of the tire. You DO NOT need to remove the tire from the rim, you DO NOT need an interior patch plug. These fearmongering articles have been around almost as long as tires, and they've been nonsense the whole time. You can't use one in a sidewall, they can only be used in the tread area. The puncture can't be too big and they don't always work if the puncture is at too much of an angle. You do have to install them correctly, you have to file the puncture, you have to use the glue, you have to get the glue all the way in the hole. But for a nail or screw puncture, I've never had one fail before the tire was worn out.

I didn't take a pic of that screen when I got it, so I'm not sure what the scores looked like then. I'm pretty sure my MPGe is lower now than when I got it, but I'm happy with it, I don't tend to drive to maximize MPG. And my last vehicle got 12 MPG (Chevy Blazer), so it's a massive improvement over that.
  3. Lowest ever? $0.05/gallon. (Yes, that was with Kroger fuel points. I actually bought gas for a few neighbors that day too, had them follow me to the gas station.)
  4. And I guess today was the day it stops working, the MFM app now says "application decommissioned" and the myfordmobile.com website is down. I'm surprised. I didn't expect Ford to kill the app like that, I just expected things to stop working when the 3g towers were turned off. That's annoying.
  5. It's almost directly behind the Ford emblem at the front of the car. Look at the hood latch, then look about 6 inches back and maybe 8 inches down. Once you see it, you'll wonder how you missed it. (I know I felt dumb when I had to change mine a few years back.)
  6. Wait, so that stupid thing that keeps me from putting my left foot on the floor is removable? Right. I'm taking it out tomorrow. That's come to be the thing I hate most about my C-Max, it actually causes hip pain on long trips.

  8. I've got a 2013 Energi. The sensor has the same issue, it's got to be REALLY wet to trigger, even on the most sensitive setting. Since the car was already out of the 36k mile warranty when I got it, I ignored it for a while, it finally annoyed me enough that something had to be done. If you unplug the sensor (it's behind the cover below the rearview mirror), the system turns into an old-style intermittent wiper controller. I actually like that better than the rain sensing feature anyway, so that was my fix. The error code shows up in Forscan but doesn't bother you otherwise.
