  1. Surprised as I passed a Ruby Red one at Channel Islands and Victoria so I couldn't capture. Wife said look! Same as ours. And only a couple of blocks from our house.
  2. It's the small screen in the central area above the radio. I don't have the Ford Touch. I wanted it. wife didn't. (but she still has a old school flip phone!)
  3. Picked up the car today with a "software update". Hope it works. will report back if it doesn't. I have attached a copy of the communication between dealer and Ford. They wouldn't make a copy for me, but I took a photo of it.
  4. Got the car back a couple of hours ago. All seem well. The software update is supposed to fix the power drain during the night. They wouldn't let me have a copy of their in house communications to Ford, but they did turn their backs when I took a picture of it with my phone. Hopefully I have attached the picture. They said that there should be more updates in the near future. Remains to be seen. I will let everyone know if it fails again. Andrew, keep us all posted on your progress. --Marty

  6. I wouldn't count on them EVER calling you. They have only called me once because I badgered them so many times. Wouldn't have known about the "fix" if I didn't call them to ask about my car. Hope it starts today!
  7. Brian at the dealer is installing new software on yours and my C-Max's. I just talked with him around an hour ago. I am picking my car up tomorrow. Hopefully it is fixed and will start. We shall see. Lets keep each other posted. --Marty
  8. I know I've posted this on other threads but I thought I'd share the news: Called the dealer today. Been in a month. He asked me if my "ears were burning?" Because he said he just got a software update and the tech was installing it now and I could pick up my car today. Hope the problem is fixed? I told him I would pick it up tomorrow. Let's see if it starts then! LOL!

  12. Ran out of electrons on Feb 19th or so and it has been sitting at the dealer since. Wondering what is happening with Andrew's C-Max dealers buy back since my car is sitting right next to his at the same dealer.
  13. Wouldn't start on Feb 19th. Been at dealer since then. This sucks!
  14. Using the code mine was built 9-23-2012. It sits at the dealers with the dead battery right next to Andrew's C-Max.
  15. Never locked the car in my garage. It still died. 2 1/2 weeks in the dealer now.
  16. I have the nearly the same driving pattern as Andrew and my C-max is sitting next to his at the dealer. I suppose I could drive the C-max more but I have a 12K/yr. three year lease. Don't think it would be too fair for me to go over my limit just to keep the undersized battery charged. I don't use anything beyond my cell phone while in the car. I live at the beach. Don't use the air or heat too often. Most of my driving is during the day and I don't have heated seats or mirrors. I'll be heading over to the dealer Monday in my P.O.S. Chevy Cruze rental to discuss the issue with the manager.
  17. I have used Pandora (on my phone) using mysync. I ask Mobile Apps. then ask Pandora. No problems But I prefer Slacker Radio. More song selections, less repeats. unfortunately my C-Max has been in the shop for the last 3 weeks because of the battery problem. I am using a Chevy Cruze rental and it sucks.
  18. Funny, (well not really) I went to Vista Ford this afternoon to pick up my gate and garage openers and they had not heard from Dearborn yet. This sucks. They have only had my car for 2 weeks now. I actually forgot what my C-Max looked like. Keep us posted on what happens with Vista and Ford Customer Service.
  19. 28 DAYS!!! OMG. Hope that they find the problem soon. ***Update*** Just got off phone with Vista Ford Oxnard. They have been working with Engineers at Ford. Hope to have software issues fixed by end of the week. Not holding my breath though. Need to do something about my rental that they gave me to use. The Chevy Cruze from Hertz sucks and smells like stale cigarettes and beer.
  20. Chevy Cruze windows go all the way down. Only reason I know is that my c-max is sitting at the dealership waiting on a battery fix.
  21. My car is now at the same Ford dealer as yours. Service guy just told me the same thing today. He told me: "Another C-Max owner has the same problem" Must be you! Hope this guy has the answer!
  22. Update: Service Mgr. says that he has another C-Max in the shop with same problem. Claims Ford engineers to send software update to fix problem. Not holding my breath.
  23. Exactly same thing happened to me yesterday afternoon. Ford Roadside Service (AAA) touched the jumper cables to battery connections and everything came on. Kinda' pissed as the car only has 1650mi on it. (Infant failure I guess) They towed it to dealer. Waiting to hear from them. Oh, the car was face in in the garage and with no power we couldn't put it in neutral to load on the flat-bed. Good thing the jumper worked.
