From a video I saw, it looked like a prop rod, but I can't tell for certain.

It's a really unusual commercial and really didn't capture my attention right away. It actually lost me until the actual car appeared.

I've been following this site for a while now too and also reading every test drive and article about the C-MAX that I could. The reviews from news sites seem to be pretty positive and reviews from real owners here have been reassuring too! What color are you getting and what options? What do you plan on using your C-MAX for? Do you have dogs or kids? ?

I'm not into this tire mobility kit nonsense. What if you're get a nice gash in the sidewall or something a little larger than a toothpick sized hold? I guess you gotta call and wait for a tow truck. GRRRRRRRRR

You ordered your C-MAX on August 5th and received your VIN by Sept. 7th. WOW that's pretty fast. Did your dealer tell you when it will ship from where it's made?

I don't take too many trips, so I'm with ZOOM that the voice turn by turn direction with Ford's SYNC will work fine for me. Aside from that, I do have a TOM TOM that I can break out if I need directions.

Just from some casual reading here, it seems that C-MAX owners are logging 40+ MPG even before the break in period! :wub:

Someone else asked this question, which peaked my curiosity. Has anyone ordered a C-Max with the panoramic roof and what are your impressions?

It's interesting that it's not quoted that way in Ford's own article. I was at a Ford dealer and he told me that Ford hasn't officially launched the C-Max yet though, so maybe info. is still a little sketchy.

They most likely use the same module across the Ford line.

Anything to cut out weight I suppose. I rented a Mustang and they told me that there wasn't a spare tire and I was to call Hertz for road service if I got a flat.
