I think my car is down to 2 minutes but have never had any battery issues. Not even close to thinking about replacing it. I think it is about 3 or 4 yrs old. The shut-off period is probably determined by time since the battery was last reset not the battery condition.

What version of sync 2 are you running? I think I was running 3.8 or 3.10 when I did mine and it worked ok.

Looked on https://www.cargurus.com they show 10 pages of plug-in escapes now nationwide.

Perhaps the Escape is quieter so it doesn't seem like you are going as fast? How long does it take to charge the HVB on 120v?

Just the audio on the radio goes out for me every thing else is normal. Sync 2 2013

Another heat wave coming this week have to remember to crack the windows so heat doesn't build up so much. Sounds like it would be a difficult problem to troubleshoot other than swapping out the radio.

Looked on ebay, all the sellers were from China except for one. $550 to upgrade my 2013 SEL. My Sync 2 is currently working but a little flaky and need to pull the fuse once in a while. If it dies I think I'll upgrade to Sync 3 rather than repair what I have.

The difference in price between the 2013 & 2016 is about the cost of a new transmission. TANSTAAFL

Does the Escape PHEV give up storage room like the Energi does?

Sorry to hear that. Not many miles. That year shouldn't have the same transmission bug that 2013-2014's had. But at least it should be covered under the warranty.

Got up to 110F and higher here today in PNW. Got in my C-max and radio wouldn't turn on. Drove to store and radio worked normally for the trip home. I guess since the windows were closed and the sun was shining in, it was too hot. If I lived in AZ I would have to get this fixed.

yes, you have to connect to the obd device too. probably a trigger of some kind on the obd device to tell it to link to bluetooth. then you would have to pair to it on your phone.

Yeah I think that is the Area 51 color. Funny my wife wanted a Fit in 2013 but I talked her into getting C-max.
