  1. Looks like they are working on it. https://fordauthority.com/2021/05/proposed-52-billion-in-funding-could-help-build-at-least-7-u-s-chip-plants/
  2. Rats! Wonder why they can't get a US Foundry to produce the chips?
  3. I connected an additional 600W PSW inverter to my c-max 12v battery so I could run our pellet stove in case of a power failure. Tested it out and it worked fine. Never used it in an actual emergency. Then last year I moved the inverter to our truck camper which has dual 12v deep cycle batteries and used that during a 2-day power failure about the same time as the texas power failures. The camper setup worked well by running our stove overnight and then I would fire up our generator during the day to recharge the batteries. If we have an extended power failure I might try connecting the inverter back into the c-max.
  4. Would look to see if there is a plugged drain hole in the recessed area. And carefully inspect the gasket on the rear hatch, perhaps water is getting there. I also remember there was a drain hole on the bottom of the rear hatch and that some cars had that hole taped over such that water was collecting inside the hatch door.
  5. Try pulling fuse 79 under the glovebox will reboot the sync.
  6. Sounds good. So if you installed the battery the BMS needs to be reset. A dealer can do this or some OBD2 devices can do it. Even saw a manual DIY procedure once on this forum that may work to reset the battery age. Good Luck!
  7. Same here, I think it’s the warmer weather.
  8. There is a TSB for the battery drain. You can search this forum for that. Haven't had to open the fuse box under the hood so can't help you there. Are you sure your 12V battery is good?
  9. Could have made a U-turn if C-max had tighter turning radius. ?
  10. Look at this one. Does your car have roof rails?

    Hello

Didn't realize the Sync 3 cars locked up too. Thought it was just the 2013-2015 that needed fuse 79 pulled once in a while. Is it working better now?
  12. 2020-21 Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid's 14.4-kWh battery, buyers will be in for a tax credit of $6,843 Might be worth waiting for.
  13. Looks good but, if I lowered my C-max I wouldn't be able to make it down my own driveway. ?
  14. Is there a separate coil for each cylinder? If so perhaps one of the coils got damaged in the repair process.
  15. Are you still planning to fold in the old energi posts from the old database?
  16. You have pretty good avg MPG's on your 2018. Are you going to buy the car after the lease is up?
  17. fbov does your escape hybrid get better mpg's than your old c-max?
  18. My 2013 manual says Change engine coolant and motor/electronics coolant... Initial replacement at six years or 100000 miles (160000 kilometers), then every three years or 50000 miles (80000 kilometers).
  19. Just noticed that 2021 Escape Hybrid Plug-in now back in Ford.com
  20. In our worst snow (11") our C-max couldn't even move off our driveway. How does the Escape compare to C-max in turning radius?
